The White Star is an awesome venue with awesome food, great service, awesome staff and a fantastic atmosphere.. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a meal or just to go out and have a few drinks and a good time.. Also they have well trained security guards at the door who are excellent..

Here over long weekend do due to how busy it is being a little more generous with review. Our waitress was lovely as well as the drinks 10/10 wild recommended the salted caramel. Our starter where amazing they made us excited for our mains. My main the risotto add chicken was quite a disappointment. Chicken was dry but the risotto dish had way to much citrus which I normally love about a risotto, you couldn’t taste anything else apart from the citrus and rice in the dish. I wouldn’t recommend the risotto at all. But if white star read these your service team are wonderful.

Had a few beers during their quiet time. Really nice beer brewed in Albany. Plenty of space good chairs. Has live music. Helpful staff. Good toilets. Has a view over the harbour buildings. Place is clean and tidy. Worth a visit to relax in middle of the afternoon.

The venue is great, food fantastic and service was very attentive. It would have been considerate if we were informed upon arrival that there was another booking for the table instead of being informed within 15 minutes of the next customers arriving to please finish our drinks and pay at the counter. Perhaps asking us to adjourn to another seating area might have made us feel less like an intrusion. Worth the food and vibe, but ask if you have a time limit!!

Delicious.. I had the lychee cocktail which went straight to my head much to my husband's amusement.. We had Kilpatrick oysters, squid and scollops, all absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly.

I've never been disappointed in a meal so much in my life that I have felt the need to write a bad review. But I feel like I really have to write one after the ghastly meal that was served here. After waiting nearly an hour for a $28 main, I was served something that was worth a fraction of that price. Devoid of all flavour, except for the burnt notes, I could've had a tastier meal from eating the paper on the tables. White Star has become a country pub, trying it's luck at fine dining and failing abysmally. Every time I've gone here, the prices have gotten more expensive while the quality of the food has gotten worse.

Great night out, the place was absolutely packed but the service was great and the food just as good. We even kicked on for some karaoke after dinner 🎤

Some of the White Stars ships that docked at the Albany jetty were the 'Medic' September 1912 and the 'Ceramic' August 1913. The 'Nomadic' is the only ship that still exists today.
