I can't believe sleepy old Northbridge can rock like it did on Saturday night last at the Cabaret. We had so much fun - singing and dancing in the aisles! Almost too much to eat but every mouthful delicious. I called in at lunchtime to check the booking and the place was bopping then on a cold and rainy day. Thank you so much to "The Sailor Bar"!!!!!!

Went here for dinner this evening on recommendation of a local Uber driver who also MC’s events - loved it!!! Fun, inviting and relaxed environment. Perfect for parents looking for a casual dinner with kids whilst also enjoying a dinner out with some sensational gin cocktails. I love my seafood and this is one of the best calamari entree/shared dish I’ve had and the fish and chips were delicious and light - not leaving a heavy and greasy aftertaste! Service was warm and friendly!!! Planning to make this a regular occurrence. Wasn’t sure if I should share this review as I fear I will need to book far in advance once Covid restrictions lift! A hidden gem!!

What a super find this establishment Is!!! Cosy but full of Nautical atmosphere. Seating outside too if u want to brave the chill in winter however they do provide a heater. Sunday they have guest artists performing. Yesterday 2 beautiful young sisters entertained us from 1400 with their lilting voices🎶🎼 accompanied by their play on either their guitar, sax, flute & bongos.🎷🎤🎶 Soft tones & songs of yesteryear😋. I must add the menu on a SUNDAY is limited. Only 2 choices of a main: Steak🐮 or Chook🐔, accompanied with various vegetables or, one can select all the veggies🥗 if you're not a fan of meat. Menu choices expand during the week tho. Meals are more than substantial & tasty, altho my Chook was a little overdone🐓. Delicious Oz wines available as well as those of our NZ neighbours🍾.😉 NOW, the COCKTAIL BAR.... well a plethora of combinations available MAINLY with a GIN base but as in my case VODKA substitute. Several GINS to choose from. Ones you've probably never heard of before...... DELISH😍! The charming waitresses attended to our needs with a smile, as is expected. May I suggest you have your designated driver with you, walk or take public transport to the venue in Northbridge 🍹🍸🥂 Booking essential on a weekend, as mentioned previously, the restaurant is "cosy". Want to try a different atmosphere?? Give THE SAILOR a go! For sure you will be impressed. CHEERS!! AP😄

Does a great Sunday roast. I went for the veggie option which had cauliflower cheese with truffle which was amazing, and the baked camembert was a perfect starter to share while waiting.

Excellent service,great food and fun atmosphere. Can't wait to go back. Booked already a table for 10 in a few weeks. Go there!!

Love the vibe at the Sailor. Great food, fabulous gin cocktails, bubbly and beers. Look out for local artists on Friday nights. One year old and getting better with age.

The Sailor is definitely the place to relax, feel well looked after and the food is great. The menu isn't too overwhelming which is a plus and there are lots of share plate options for you. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there are eating in and out options. We went for late lunch on Sunday and it was very chilled and all very COVID safe. Well done The Sailor wish I was more local and I could make you my local!
