Disappointed. I was very excited to finally be going to this restaurant and certainly was not let down initially arriving - the venue is beautiful, the theme is awesome, and menu food and drinks looked amazing. My group of 3 definitely felt we were in for a treat. Within a minute of being sat down and given our menus, a waiter approached us asking if we were ready to order, which clearly we were not. We asked for more time and around 10 minutes later a waitress came over and took our order which she seemed to understand. This was the last of any service we received for over an hour. Over the hour no one ever checked on our table, leaving us to even run out of water for the table. My guess is that they had lost our order and by looking around the room it was looking like a couple of other tables had complained about their orders as well. It took about 3 attempts to get a staff members attention of which they then offered us menus again??? We told them we had been waiting over an hour for our food and hadn't even had a glass of wine that we had ordered yet. They apologised and offered the wine for free when it eventually turned up. Food finally arrived and it was amazing, which is why this review is not a 1 star - this and the venue & theme earned the 3 stars. It was quite clear the order had been lost due to the looks of confusion across staff member faces. Usually I would be forgiving in this situation, however, coming from a hospitality background myself, I was absolutely appalled that many of the simple rules in hospitality were consistently broken: - Our table was never checked to ensure there was at least food, drink, or even cutlery on the table (yes, we had to eat our starters with steak knives...) - We were never asked if we had received everything we had ordered (this is a BIG one to save yourself as a server if you think you may have forgotten something) - We were never asked if we were enjoying the night until after we informed them our order had not arrived - There were times where multiple staff were standing around and times when the whole dining room was completely empty of staff Throughout the night we had various staff (around 4-5??) serve our table, which makes little sense to me. You should designate certain staff to certain tables to that they can ensure everything is trucking along smoothly. Regardless, there are literally such a limited number of tables and orders to remember in that dining area considering the number of wait staff, it is beyond me that not one staff member realised something was wrong?? Coming from a cheap, fast-paced cafe background serving a couple hundred customers a day, of which I very rarely messed up an order of, I'm baffled that the service could be so shocking in a fine dining restaurant. And really... serving $4 per wheel Australian Gold brie for $14 for less than a third of the wheel..... There were multiple other issues with the night but I'm not going to go into detail as this review is so long as is. Happy to change my review if I decide to go back again after a couple of months when hopefully the staff are either trained to fine dining standards or you have new staff, which I believe is going to be essential in order to keep this business going.

Great meat , wine and dessert. Nice building, good atmosphere. Salad wasn't anything to write home about, but I guess that's not in the name.

Absolutely the best steak I have had for a long time. Perfect in every way, service exceptional, atmosphere exactly what you want, beer cold, perfectly chilled & tasty. Only disappointment was the cocktail I ordered wasn't what I actually received. Still drank it because it was still made very well. Well worth the visit to decide for yourself.

Went for dinner yesterday and was quite disappointed. Heard their steaks were supposed to be quite good, but the rump steak I got was very average and quite tough - could’ve gotten better at your average pub. We had the calamari and some other truffle side and they were pretty average too.
