Food and service were fantastic, definitely going back!

Nice place for a casual drink or meal

It was the first Saturday street lockdown restrictions were eased a bit so I wanted a restaurant with lots of space. I didn’t want to be bunched at the door. We got a nice table near the fire out the back and settled in for a nice meal. I had the Eggs Benedict (two poached eggs on southern style slow cooked pork shoulder with spinach, crusty ciabatta and béarnaise) which was totally delicious. Highly recommend this place if price isn’t your highest priority.

Been going to the Goat House for many years.... Service is fabulous.... Although I asked for peanut butter with my breakfast order... Only to be told that they don't have peanut butter... Mmmmmm... They used to before.... Oh and why open at 10am on a Wednesday... You used to open much earlier... How ridiculous

Beautiful venue but could not pay me to set foot inside the venue again, the service we received from the owner was appalling. The “owner” came over to the table aggressively asking to take some chairs away, didn’t introduce himself as a staff member and when we asked why he was being aggressive his response was “I’m the owner and I will throw you out” I was leaving with my pregnant girlfriend and he came over aggressively shouting you’re not welcome (don’t worry, we most certainly won’t be back). The guy is an egomaniac and seems to have a dose of “small man syndrome” so stay away at all costs. FYI – He has a sign outside saying best Guinness in Melbourne, it’s false advertising as it’s absolutely disgusting!

We have been going to The Goat House for over 18 months, and we love the great atmosphere, the owner is very friendly.It’s a relaxing place to take friends and enjoy the tasty share plates over a few drinks , that’s why we keep returning.

Saturday night, the restaurant is full and something must have escaped me. Food is nothing to write home about, small servings and $60 for very ordinary bottle of wine. Nice decor though. I shall not return in a hurry.

Went with a few friends tonight to Goat House for some cocktails and dinner - it was super busy for a Tuesday night but we were lucky enough to be accommodated right next to the fire place! Food came and fast and cocktails were worth every cent. There was a large list of options and each one was as good as the last. Food as always was delightful.

The most beautiful venue with log fire but spoilt by the “owner” and service when he asked a simple question about how many chairs we had at our table. Threatened to chuck out one of our party and said we’d over stayed and he can chuck us out …. Because we said the chair was in use by a person having their dinner but in the toilet. So disappointing
