Great place for lunch or just coffee and cake. Very reasonable prices and good quality food. Lovely staff too. You can't go to Hahndorf without trying at least one German cafe or bakery!

Enjoyed the chicken schnitzel today. The coffee was nice and hot but the thing that most impressed us about this lovely bakery cafe is that it is pet friendly. Thank you very much for a lovely lunch

Great food, staff and service. I've been here many times through the years and will continue to come back for the friendly service and amazing food. Feedback is always listened to and the owners and staff are great. Awesome atmosphere also.

The beesting cake was delicious, The salted pretzel is not worth getting and the service is average. However, the vibe and interior decor is lovely and unique

The decor for the shop and customer service of staff was very good. The owner was friendly and helpful with our order, the only issue was the menu did not specify what times the breakfast menu ended each day. The cherry strudel and cakes were fantastic, I will definitely return.

Hidden off the side of the main road you will come across this establishment. The interior is full of character and cuckoo clocks. We ordered German sausage and a steak pie. Sausages were amazing in taste and the steak pie pastry crisp and crunch. We also ordered two chai latte with almond milk. WOW!! It was so good I ordered another for the road. Arrived just on opening and atmosphere was quiet without the hustle and bustle from the main road eatery's. Food arrived without any issues and staff very friendly.

What’s in a name. When you have an expectation of a lovely German strudel based on the name of the cafe, An Apple Strudel with a simple dough that bakes up into a flaky buttery crust and a juicy, spiced apple filling studded with rum-soaked raisins and finely chopped almonds and you are served up a strudel that is based on the ingredients of a donut, it’s a little disappointing. I would have to say the food at this cafe is ok. There is a lot to look at in the cafe and it is worth a look, nice seating area & fair pricing, but if you are looking for a cafe where there is obviously a heritage, experience in cooking and delivering German food, then you might be a little disappointed. My rating is based on the overall experience, had I based it solely on the Strudel it would have been lower.

They agreed to cook a sausage breakfast in the afternoon, I wish they didn't, the eggs were less cooked than cooked and the sausage was cold and raw in the centre. The cakes might be good but keep away from the breakfast menu and pies. Haven't had a good experience anytime that I've been. Sorry no more chances.

Beesting cake very nice. Lots of trinkets and antiques, some for sale all around the cafe. Seems like it came out of the ‘70s - not necessarily a bad thing. Service lacking at the front counter. Coffee ok.

Went for a light breakfast in the morning, apparently the lady wasn’t in a good mood to serve. Ordered coffee and Bienenstich, which were delicious. Also attracted by the antique decorations on the wall, a good spot for photos.
