The Colony Concept

The food at The Colony was some of the best I experienced on my holiday. Absolutely reccomend coming for lunch, the staff were friendly and fast with high quality food cooked with care and skill.

Do not miss this place for lunch if you are in the South West! Nice and quite and the best food we have had! We had the meat tasting plate and the deserts are to die for!

Well worth a visit. They produce some great honey products including mead. Mead tasting paddles are $10 and worth trying. Owner is pleasant and always happy to chat. Cool to see the hives too.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here. The service was great and all of the food ordered was delicious. We enjoyed some shared plates to start and followed up with mains. The outlook is lovely and very relaxing and there is a very well stocked honey based shop.

A nice place to visit to get honey and have a good lunch. The setting is quite nice, so have a meal at the outdoor area. You can do honey tasting and mead tasting while waiting for your meal. Mead tasting does cost $10 per person, however you do get a discount if you purchase at least 2 mead products. We would recommend the Fortified Honey Mead (it tastes really interesting and stands out the most). The lunch we had was good and tasty and also filling. Furthermore, customer service was good too. Most importantly, it’s dog friendly too!

Great casual restaurant and honey products! Very dog friendly so very convenient when traveling with your pup. The service was great and staff were all very friendly. Will definitely be back.

We were really pleased with our lunch today. Share platter came before the main meal and was delicious. Chose the more expensive main course and again, really nice. Good service and excellent food. Thank you. We will be back!

Very nice place to visit among beautiful surroundings.. You can taste some great honey to purchase.. we received really good service. You can also have lunch here which was very good indeed.. the only downside was the glass of wine.. which in our opinion it wasn't even a third of a glass of wine. I had to point to the waitress that the glass of white wine ($12.00) looked more like a shot of whiskey than an actual glass of wine.. she kindly top it up a little.. see picture.. this is after the top up.. 🙄 This aside it was otherwise a good place to visit.

Such amazing service, the women we spoke with was so knowledgeable and want to have a chat. Worth the visit just hear about the bee's.
