Loved our recent stay at the beautifully restored Carrington Hotel. Our room was warm, roomy and comfortable, all meals were lovely, and the staff welcoming and helpful. There is so much to see and explore in all the rooms of the Grand Old Lady....paintings, photos, treasures of all sorts. A glimpse into a former era, but with the comforts we have come to expect in our modern world. Thoroughly recommend a stay there in the coming winter months. Just full of atmosphere.......the magnificent dining room, Charlie’s Bar, the old lift, the open fires to snuggle in front of with a wine or a coffee.

Great staff, vintage building in various stages of refurbishment, wonderful lead light windows. Although dated has a nice historical feel with good service.

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay. Like walking into a Downton Abbey environment. Service great. Comfy bed. Balcony room was nice. Worth treating yourself. Right in the heart of Katoomba. Walk to shops cafes etc. Loved our time there.

Stayed here with my daughter in a room with twin beds and a private bath down the hall. We are big fans of all things historic and so The Carrington doesn’t disappoint. Some beautiful period architecture details and gorgeous gardens. It’s situated ideally to enjoy the town of Katoomba which has great dining and shops and was a short drive to view the Three Sisters. I highly recommend.

It's always be a historical beautiful mascot place in blue mountain. So big, with different rooms, including outdoors and nice garden area.its tidy and clean. A renovated ladies/A gentlemen room. Good place to stay in or having Sunday morning tea or catch up with friends/family in Saturday afternoon. The food or drink are not that expensive.

Loved the Carrington Hotel in winter. We got a spot by the fire place 🔥 and had Devonshire teas which were quite good. If I stayed longer I would have got into some nice rich reds. Very popular on Sunday. Didn't stay overnight so can't rate the rooms.

Beautiful old hotel, the room was lovely ,very comfortable bed, we had a private bathroom at the end of the hall which was beautifully renovated. Many gorgeous lounging areas filled with interesting historical pictures and other art. Inside car parking is always a plus. Room serviced daily during our 3 day stay. The only drawback was the sparseness of the included continental breakfast...mainly cereal, toast, pastry and yogurt, no fruit or cheeses or cold cuts

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for one night when we visited the Blue Mountains . As we didn’t have our car so this was another reason why we picked this hotel as it’s so closed to the train station. The hotel itself is full of history and it’s a lot to explore. We had a balcony room on the first floor and we both loved the view from the balcony. The sunrise was stunning. The amenities were a bit old but you got what you need in the room. One thing really disappointed us was the dusty exhaust fan in the bathroom. Seemed like no one cleans it for a long time. Hope the hotel management will always keep the cleanliness of the room for customers. Besides this, the staffs were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was ok too. The hotel is also close to restaurants and shops. So overall we had a good time in the hotel.

Exceeded All Expectations... Our 3 night stay at the Carrington was perfect. The Joynton Smith suite was amazing and something very special. The stay in the suite was an experience in itself. The suite is WOW, it's big and beautiful, very comfortable and warm along with being very well appointed with it's gorgeous chesterfield lounges, ornate pieces and very comfy 4 poster bed. Bathroom is huge with the biggest, longest, most amazing cast iron bath and unique antique shower we've ever seen. Excellent views from the balcony and suites large windows. The Grand dinning room is just that, and should be a must do if staying at the hotel to enjoy and encapsulate the entire experience. Food was very nice and the service in the dinning room was top notch. One of the waiters, (Wouter), was very pleasant and gave us some interesting detailed information and history into the Hotel and it's dinning room whilst serving us throughout the evening. The pianist was excellent. We found the Hotel staff all very accommodating and very professional ,Derek in particular who went out of his way to ensure our stay was something special and one which was a memorable one. Thank you Derek, it was, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again in the future.

On our first night there was a big stain on the quilt made us feel very uncomfortable. The couldn’t change it for us . We’re told the Receptionist doesn’t have the key to the house keeping room . The offer us another room for our second night. It was clean and comfortable. Never stay there again. Hotel looks nice from out side . Staff were helpful and friendly.
