Good food and friendly staff.

Our goto chippie in the area. Prefer the crispier chips rather than the softer ones at British chippies. We've never had any issues with portion size, usually get an extra piece, which is common in many places.

Just visited for the time, thought we’d give it a try. If I’m honest for $49.80, I feel very let down. The piece of fish was tiny and doesn’t come close the standard size of every other chippy around the area, but they still charge $10.50 for it. The rest of the food I got was average and not worth the money we paid. I won’t be going back again. And I won’t be recommending the Captain Table chippy to anyone. Overall very disappointed

A lot has changed since the new owner came in action. The food got really good and waiting time isn't long at all. Perfectly organised and hygienic environment. Appreciate it.

Yummy fish and chips, great value

Just bought 2 fish and $5 chips. Order #50. The fish was good 7/10.. The chips were nothing but crisps hard as bullets. Gave the dog them , even she took ten minutes crunching them up .

Shocking. Ordered on Uber eats, ordered fish and chips and did not even receive chips, they had ran out and did not contact us before sending the order out. They wrote on the bag that we have been “credited” next time we order (we were not) yet when we called up to redeem the credit the manager was getting defensive.. portions were terrible, spent $50, never again. Not receiving chips with your fish is like getting a burger without the bun lol (it is in the name!)

Highly recommend this for your cheeky fish and chips binge. There are a few fish and chip places in the area so we simply tried our luck here and so glad we did! The place is very clean inside, they aren't keeping food warm, they make it fresh! So it looks bare inside but that's a good thing. The fish was perfectly battered and had crisp BUT seriously not oily! They clearly have perfected the deep fry - we were so impressed now not greasy but well cooked everything was. The paper used for wrapping wasn't oily post eating. Definately try the breadcrumb calamari, we think this is a custom recipe as it certainly had a great texture and crunch and very spot on flavours. Such an understated place, we didn't even have that 'post fried food feeling' which suggests that the oil was good quality and clean plus cooked at the right temperature. Hope everyone else has a good experience here - it was such a good friday night surprise to find this local gem. We ordered 2 pieces of hake (one grilled) chip for 2 (serving was plenty and I can eat) bread crumb calamari and a crab stick. Price was cheap/equal to other, took 15 mins at 6pm on a Friday.

Had to wait an hour this evening (Good Friday). The fish n chips was nice and crunchy. The pieces of fish were tiny. No organisation at the front end of the shop. A system is so important to get the food out in timely manner. We will not be coming back ever. The new owners are quite green.

been getting meals here for a while and about time i put in a positive review, the staff are very polite and tell you the information you need to know. price and when. i get the fish, chips, squid rings, pinapple fritters. family never complained with the quality of food. remember to eat it hot :D
