Was charged 10% of the bill for a high chair with no straps. Ridiculous!!!! Wont be back there ever again!!!!
The food here are delicious. They offer Chinese food from a number of different regions in China. It's definitely worth trying if you're in Canberra City and looking food lower cost lower commitment type of food.
Fantastic food and a great venue - 20 of us had the best time celebrating my birthday - highly recommend Tasting China *****
Really disappointed with this restaurant - the Mongolian lamb was tender but tasteless and the fish in a broth tasted weird and was not enjoyable. Good serving sizes though. They also seated us right next to the counter so people paying kept bumping into us. Service prompt but not friendly. Would have preferred cheap Chinese food court dishes over this expensive place.
This is our favourite restaurant. However, tonight was very disappointing. We walked into the restaurant and ordered 2 dishes. They served one dish and let us wait around 45 minutes for the second dish. The steam rice and hot tea were both cold and we got impatient so I got up to pay for the meal. They gave me the bill including the food that they haven't serve yet. They certainly forgot us. I talked to them and they minus that dish out of the bill, but we feel sad, tired and a waste of time.
Lovely atmosphere. We ordered the barramundi in a sweet sauce. It was cooked to perfection! We had chicken sweet corn soup, vegetables with garlic. Highly recommend!
Staff were slow to take our order and slow again to put our order through the computer so that we could pay. Mixed vegetable dish was incredible, highly recommend. We also got the mapo tofu which tasted like dishwashing liquid and was virtually inedible. Not sure what to say, weird place, great food if you're lucky
Recently visited this restaurant with friends and my wife who is a coeliac. Having enjoyed a meal there a couple of years ago and having had no problem getting a good selection of gluten free dishes we had no hesitation in visiting it again. This time, even though again there were a good number dishes marked on the menu (including that on the website) as gluten free or gluten free options we were told, sorry, none of them are now gluten free as they no longer use gluten-free soy sauce. One boring tofu dish was the only one available. Three of us had a nice enough meal but for my wife, the meal was extremely disappointing. I advise coeliacs and gluten-free folk to avoid this restaurant.
Great food and Nice service. Must try.
Great atmosphere, delicious food and quick service. Dined on a Tuesday evening at 6pm. The restaurant wasn't entirely full which meant it wasn't very noisy and great for conversations. Had the following dishes: - Veggie spring rolls - Peking duck pancakes - Golden sand prawns with salted duck egg yolk and black sesame - Salt and pepper tofu - Angus Scotch fillet and black pepper sauce - Lotus root and seasonal greens Would return again for the food.
