I made a reservation here for my partner who was arriving off the Spirit of Tasmania ferry after a long road trip from Cairns. He said it was the best motel he’d stayed in for the entire trip. Super clean room with everything thoughtfully arranged. Very impressed with the pod coffee too. I booked directly over the phone which was fast & easy. Late check in wasn’t a problem with instructions sent via SMS to my partner.

Great place to stay. Helen was an incredible host and made up the rooms daily as if you were walking in for the first time all over again. Couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming, accommodating motel. We have family who have just moved to Devonport and this is where we will be staying every time. Thank you Helen for the amazing place to stay.

When you first walk in your room, you might think it’s rather outdated and needs updating. BUT this place was the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever been in - the bathroom was literally sparkling. The bed was so comfy I slept like a baby and the bedding was clean and fresh. Thank you so much.

If you are booking the Sunrise Devonport because it is affordable, clean, large rooms and friendly staff you have come to the right place. To be honest, for what I paid for my nights accommodation and got more than I expected from room 16... 5 stars.

Peaceful place to stay. Very close to beach points. Hot water runs quickly. Toaster, hairdryer, kettle, iron pressing are available. Side tables are fancy with bed lights. 2 seater sofa and a dine table for 2 are available in the same room

This is an older style motel. It provides plenty of parking. There is a fridge, kettle and pod coffee machine, with enough milk , cereal , sugar , coffee and tea sachets provided which I did not find in any of other higher rated hotels I stayed in Devonport / Tassie. Very clean bathroom and rooms.

We had 3 nights here and were very happy, great location, clean and comfy rooms, ample parking, guest laundry, friendly and helpful staff and owners. Would highly recommend this motel.
