391 Wickham Tce #1, Spring Hill 4000, Brisbane
Excellent quality food and friendly staff. Food was fresh and flavoursome. Fish was nice and crispy outside, soft and well cooked inside. Chicken and meat were cooked well and still succulent. Smoky eggplant dip with garlic was the winner!
I have been here several times. This isone of favorite restaurants in Brisbane! The service is amazing. The food is even better!! I come here at least every month. I love Farah!!
The atmosphere is very nice but the food is disappointing... I've eaten food from Iran, and this was not even close to a casual or "typical" approximate. However, I've been told by Iranian friends that the best is made at home and it's so true. The flavours were weak and over-compensated by salt. Almost as if they were holding back the spices! Bread is everything and for a $90 meal for two, you'd expect more than store bought cold pita bread.
They didn't have Opihr Gin which is listed on their top shelf spirits menu. They didn't have ginger ale which is a basic mixer. They didn't have the signature "Persian" olive dish listed on their menu. They didn't have the signature "Persian" date dish listed on their menu. The service was friendly and apologetic as the wait staff unfortunately didn't have a good command of English. I honestly felt for her as she struggled. It was difficult but we got there in the end. I found the food good value and the lamb shank was delicious. It was so tender, it literally fell off the bone. I'd definitely dine at Farah again when visiting Brisbane by myself but I'd be too embarrassed to take guests again. My cousin was becoming impatient and wanted to leave but in the end, I'm glad we stayed.
Farah is a Persian restaurant but the head chef is from Iran so the taste of the dish would be more Iranian. This is my first time to the restaurant so I wanted to try everything and with the friendly waitress’s recommendations, I have ordered the King’s platter. And it was absolutely amazing, the lamb and chicken was perfectly marinated and cook to the perfection. It was juicy with every bites. I used to think Brazilian has mastered the art of Bbq meat but let me tell you, once you have try Iranian way of cooking meat, the Iranian will always win. Overall, it was a great dinning experience, I would give it a 6 stars if google allows it.
Best Persian food in QUEENSLAND. Service was very good especially since it was Easter Sunday. Great atmosphere and good value for money
