Last night we were delighted to discover this local gem. Our table of four was well taken care of and the food was so good! My husband enjoyed the calamari and the traditional meat lasagna. The buffalo mozzarella and mortadella entree’ then papardelle with seafood for me, both oh so delicious!! The sauce laced with plenty of garlic, ginger and a hint of chilli, I was in heaven. Lovely dessert selection and good coffee. We’ll return soon.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. What makes it so bad is not only that they cook Italian dishes that make you think you are back in the 1980s, but that such dishes are also so overpriced! I don't mind dishes being expensive, but if you charge $38 for a Tagliatelle Boscaiola then you cannot give your customers a dish with such indecent taste! This restaurant is run by old generation Italians and they have no clue what Italian cuisine is like today. If at least the service had been a little better, then I would have given it 2 stars. But to share our main dish, they expected us to use the same sharing plates that we used to share our entre (Parmigiana, which also had an utterly horrible taste and was incredibly overpriced at $28). Indecent, avoid at all costs!

Well the food is great but there were 30 seated customers must have been 100 decibels. For some reason everyone seemed to be shouting. Massive head ache. Will not be back.

Exceptional Food, great entrees, mains and desserts were SPECTACULAR. The Salted Caramel and honeycomb Semifredio was very Great. Definitely will come again

Absolutely incredible authentic pasta! I have never eaten a better seafood pappardelle in my life! The staff are amazing and very accomodating and the restaurant is incredibly welcoming - it feels like I am sitting in the streets of Italy. I adored the food and atmosphere thank you!

Had a lovely takeaway meal last night. Beautiful flavours, and as carefully prepared as for dine-in meals. Nice to have a fine dining option during this time of isolation.

I have dined in at this lovely restaurant a few times now and also ordered many takeaways which is so much appreciated after a long day at work. Being Italian myself I can honestly say the food is authentic Italian and just so delicious. They are very friendly and welcoming but also professional, and the customer service is of high quality with good quality table settings. They have created a truly Italian restaurant ambience with lovely furnishings and decor. What also really stood out for me and my friends was the cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant. The wine glasses were sparkling clean, which is something that is often lacking in some other food establishments. I would thoroughly recommend Sottocasa for fine Italian dining or takeaway meals; very generous piping hot serves.

Had dinner here last night & loved it! The food was amazing & it's BYO - perfect! This is authentic Southern Italian cuisine, made with a passion for food & the creation of the perfect meal - a combination of flavours to deliver the best experience. That is why the chef won't change the ingredients of a meal. It's like asking an artist to change parts of their painting because you'd prefer it a different way. If you appreciate a beautiful, authentic meal & the skill of the creator, I'd definitely go to Sotto Casa. We found portion size to be perfect - generous but not so huge you feel sick when you leave. And the service was great. I've read some of the other reviews & we did not share their experiences at all. I think you get what you give in life. A good attitude, respect & appreciation go a long way. We will be back for sure!
