Without a doubt, the best scallop pie in Tasmania. We tried the chunky steak, curry chicken and Camembert chicken as well - ALL amazing. Well priced too, at $5 for the majority of pies and $8 for the scallop. Delicious. Great service. Worth seeking out while you’re here.

Located in a warehouse district where you would never normally find a pie shop. BUT they serve a large selection of pies that are all great. The curried scallop pie was super delicious and there was plenty of scallop. Even the steak and mushroom pie had amazing gravy. If your in the area, worth a visit. I do believe they are also at Salamanca Markets

After having a Scallop pie in Salamanca, it was the last day in Hobart so had to head to Smiths Family Kitchen for literally the best pie I have ever eaten. Its a pity its hard to get in Melbourne but wow what a pie. This folks is a award winning pie and doesn't get better than that.

Read reviews before we came on holiday from Western Australia. Had the scallop pie, which was excellent, however had the beef, cheese and bacon which had one piece of beef and four little squares of bacon and the rest was gravy. Have taken pictures but not sure if I can add to post.

Had high expectations but pretty disappointed. Scallop pie didn't have many scallops, pastry needs to hold pie better otherwise you will lose your filling, not worth $10. It would taste better as a chowder. Several of our friends agreed over rated for what you get. Max 6.5-/10

Wow. Best pies I've had for ages!! Curried Chicken and Beef, Bacon & Cheese. Superb!

Managed to try the famous Smith's Scallop Pie at the Salamanca Market. The pie is delicious with a creamy filling and loaded with scallops.

Flakey pastry with generous amount of meat packed with flavour. Our favourite pie place by far.
