The fish was horrible but the chips were ok.

Unfortunately, we will have to rate this place a 2. It was really good, but unfortunately they have gone down hill and tonights fly in the bottom of our chips, takes the cake. I really hope they can improve, but until then we will be supporting other local businesses.

Review - Pizza - Gluten Free Supreme 3/5 - Chips 9/10 - Fish Cake 9/10 Pizza - have changed the gluten free base, i hope its temporary as the other one was sensational, this new one is powdery and rubbish, also this new technique of laying a big slice of ham over the base before putting the topping on is a flop, you are not allowing the top of the base to cook so it remains doughy, stick with the winning formula you had Chips - quality, good clean oil used, hot and not soggy. they can be a bit hit and miss with this so hoping there is some consistency now Fish Cake - This is the real deal fish cake, firm, crispy like they should be, not the soft squishy rubbish, keep it up a bit of background here, Saltwater Cafe was the absolute best takeaway in Goolwa hands down, they sold the business, the new owners have had an up and down ride to get it right, being local we have stuck with them through it however there is a pizza takeaway that opened two doors down in competition so why you would change a winning formula and try to reinvent the wheel is beyond me we will try again sometime, but if we get another rubbish pizza base and a new idea on how to make a pizza sweat we wont be back turn the oven up, cook the pizza more, bingo

Nice to sit and relax with Coffee and dessert.

Lovely place but we were there waiting for more than a half an hour to get coffee and a sandwich- and there were few tables occupied- this was after they missed our order at first and we had to pay for the missing sandwich cause they never ordered it (So let’s say we sat there for an hour waiting). When we decided to leave (without our order), they gave us the money back, without even apologizing. We love this town, but we felt like they didn’t care for visitors ..

Not so bad. just the rocky road a bit sweet.

Great local cafe in Goolwa, very nice range of cakes and other delicious food and coffee's, big tasty milkshakes and what looked to be nice fish and chips as well.
