Just got a cherry ice cream made from local cherries!!. I'm so happy we stopped and checked it out. The man who served us was extremely polite and the portions were generous. We only found five monkeys in the display out of the six though. Will have to come back. Thankyou!!

This is a cute ice cream shop that has recently just opened according to my enquiry at The Mercury Milk Bar down the road. They only accept cash which was a bit troublesome for me as I pay on card everywhere I go and there were no ATM terminals in the whole town of Ross. The lovely lady at the milk Bar allowed me to withdraw some money though so it's great to know that human decency is still a thing in 2019. I ended up ordering the mixed berry ice cream adult cone which costs $5. The ice cream is not made on the site, as the woman who served me informed that they use a vanilla bought ice cream base and mix Tasmanian berries in themselves with a mixing machine. It was great watching it all happen before your eyes but the ice cream loses its structure after the mixture,.making it look mushy and mishapen. You then have to pretty much finish it with a decent pace risk having it melt in your grasps. The ice cream with the berries was definitely tasty but I am easy to please in that department. Overall this ice cream shop has a lot of potential, great foot traffic from the tourists and campers stopping by. The prices need to be adjusted, paying $5 for a single scoop of half melted store bought ice cream seems a bit much. The lack of card payment is also disappointing and a hassle.

SO YUM! Got the mixed berry ice cream and it was so fantastic. Had a lovely conversation with the owner while we were there too. Definitely stop over if you fancy an ice cream..or even if you don’t!!! Totally worth it :)
