Crown Casino, Crown Perth Great Eastern Hwy, Burswood
overrated.... dont ask for your meat to be cooked anything more than rare or medium or you will be punished with burnt meat... service was great
Cozy ambience. Good place for a date night. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was good. We had a wonderful experience. We had their anniversary tasting menu and unfortunately I wasn't able to take photos of all the food. The ones that are not in the photo are devoured straight away! They all taste really good especially the main course and desert! And they surprise us with anniversary cupcake! The food and service is great and we'll definitely come back.
Booked dinner for friends birthday, waiter & waitress were nice but it took an hour to get our food which was over cooked and slightly cold. Ordered dessert which was given on a plate on top of tissue paper. Was expecting something special but honestly it was disappointing. You’d expect something nice as it was a friends birthday and they put the desserts on tissue paper after I had just spent over $400. If you are intending on going there for a special occasion just don’t even bother. Room service at the tower is much better. The staff there were lovely though and quiet attentive but the food was made with no effort everything was just thrown on the plate.
Huge menu and drinks list. Very busy restaurant and quite large in size. The food was very good and the staff were attentive. Because the restaurant is so large the wait staff appear to be running all the time which created a rather 'rushed atmosphere. Prices are at the higher level. If your there for a special occasion you get a cupcake which apparently was very light and fluffy!
I have to be honest, the atmosphere and service at Rockpool are great. The steak quality is great. These side dishes (cabbage gratin, mac & cheese) were very mediocre, The pumpkin & garlic sauce was okay. But when you visit what should be a top quality restaurant and you ask for your steak medium rare, it’s expected that the chef understands what medium rare means. The steak I received was practically rare to blue. Stop trying to save meat from being wasted and start cooking it to the order requested. I shouldn’t have to ask for my steak to be re-fired whilst eating with guest. I’ve had better food from McDonalds.
My wife & I went here for the first time on the weekend. All of the meat based dishes that we had were absolutely fantastic. The few dishes that we had which were not meat based were good but not great. I was even more impressed with the front of house. The staff were very attentive to us and catered towards all our needs. The restaurant seems to run really efficiently. Overall a fantastic dining experience and we will be back!
Oh my word. The steaks! So many to choose from and the ones we had were just amazing. Delicious. A fillet steak and a rib eye t-bone. You won’t get a better steak. Anywhere. The onion rings were as onion rings should be. Large and crispy. And what better wine to complement such a devine dinner? Chianti of course. Highly recommend
if your wallet can take a solid hit, probably a nice special occasion place. honestly i think the best parts are the dramatic dining room and attentive service. the food is good but almost everything is really rich
We were expecting something spectacular, unfortunately what we got was less than average. I and a friend had the Bolognese with hand cut pasta. We both thought that it tasted like it was burned and had been scraped off the bottom of the pan, it was dry and inedible. Another friend had the crayfish and it was way over cooked and rubbery again just not up to even the most basic standard of cooking. Four others were not impressed at all. The only high light was the Red Emperor which was cooked perfectly and very nice. We certainly won't be going back. When a restaurant is advertising it self as the finest dining experience one would expect much much better. So 2 stars. 1. For the Red Emperor. 1. For the staff, who were very good.
Suave and you pay for it, it's predominantly aged meat steak which was really succulent, if you like this and can afford $60-$250 steak its a great visit. I thought it was seafood from the name of the place. Side dishes and abalone was also really fresh.
