Love this restaurant - food was delicious from the oysters to mushrooms to eye fillet. Cocktails were also so drinkable and strong. Modern interior over three levels and great service. Highly recommend

Excellent service. They know their steaks. And the portions of the other stuff is well balanced too. We went through all the way yo dessert feeling juuust the right amount of full. Initially i thought the steak was small (for 300g) but again, perfectly sized. Atmosphere nice and dim but the table was well lit. Definitely worth it if you're into steaks meats and a bit of class for your dinner party.

Quite expensive & slightly overpriced for the meals however a lovely dinner experience all round. Restaurant is quite loud so if you're after a more intimate & high class dining experience perhaps this isn't the place. Hosts are very professional & attentive however.

We enjoyed a fabulous Mother’s Day Lunch at Rare Downtown. Our group of 13 was welcomed warmly upon arrival. The waitress looking after our table was delightful and attentive without being intrusive. The food arrived in a very timely manner and was delicious....best steak in town. Desserts are pretty and generous. Thank you for a wonderful experience - highly recommend.

Amazing meal. Great service. Will definitely be back. I had garlic bread, eye fillet with mushroom sauce/mashed potato/garden salad, and then ice cream with Mars bar sauce for dessert. Only negative was I left overfull because the food was so awesome I couldn’t stop =P

Amazing meals, Great service and good prices Will definitely be back. My wife and I have been to Rare 3x times in the last few months and the quality of food and the service is always on point 100% of the time. If you're looking for a great dining experience with high quality food and a welcoming team - then be sure to book in a table and treat yourself and your loved ones to a great experience.

Been here a few times now, I highly recommend the Eye fillet with sweet potato fries. One of the best steaks in town and my new go-to steak place whenever I'm craving meat. Service is really nice and they know their wine recommendations which is ways helpful. We tried the rib eye once and it was full of fat (not the flavoursome kind) so would not recommend that cut unless you like it chewy. Also tried the beef ribs but found them a little chewy. Stick to the cut of meat you usually like or go for the eye fillet and you won't be disappointed.
