RYOMA Japanese BBQ

Had a good experience here. All the food was in stock and the staff were really friendly. Everything was very tasty and all the food was brought out to us quickly for us to bbq. The beef marinade was very tasty and my personal favourite as well as the pork belly. All sides and salads were quickly refilled when we requested them. The only gripe was that the charcoal BBQ lost heat fairly quickly and had to be changed and the 90 minute time limit was enforced even with the restaurant fairly quiet.

They have definitely improved with their service over the years, but I had a really negative experience here a few years ago when they had an all you can eat special. I had posted in Zomato then but I will post again here. Essentially, we had a set time frame to eat and it was obvious that the staff were deliberately lagging with bringing our food out. It was also a special all you can eat oysters, but we really did not get our money’s worth as they staggered so much with bringing the food out and then later told us they sold out after we only ordered one dozen between four people. We ended up running out of time before all of our food orders came out and was told that was it.

Quality of the food is pretty decent, service is what brings it down a bit. Some others take way too long. If you don't mind the service that much, price is good

Amazing selection of dishes at RYOMA Japanese BBQ. Was lucky enough to try a range of their meat and seafood plates as well as their ready to serve menu. Stand out dish of the night for me was the takoyaki as well as the wagyu beef. Drinks were refreshing and accompanied the hearty meal well. Staff were friendly and hospitable and service was super quick. A great night with good food and even better company, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a fun night out!

Great food. Service is average. When you order seafood on the all you Can eat option, it doesn't all come out. Ordered 4 prawn meals only one ever came out. Even after asking for the rest. Also watch out for additional charges on the bill.

Food is good today... Service is ok... because they were really busy understandably

My friends and I had a dinner at Ryoma and it was beyond disappointing. Other than the quality meat selections, everything was subpar. We got there at 7:30pm and had to wait for nearly one hour before we could be seated even though there were three empty tables from previous customers. I raised this to the waiting staff at the restaurant but they refused to clean up those tables and made us wait. Once we were seated, orders were sent in and food came out but then it was all going downhill from there. The waiting staff made us feel unwelcome. Dishes were slammed on the table when brought out, no thank you was said or a welcoming attitude displayed. Ryoma made us felt like a laughing stock for being like sheeps, had nowhere to go but this restaurant because they think they are the only restaurant in the area that serves Japanese BBQ. The service was abysmal and when it was time to pay, again staff was stone-faced, didn’t say thank you or asking how dinner was. They made us feel like we owe them to come to their restaurant. I would not recommend Ryoma and would advise you to stay far from this restaurant.

I've eaten here 3-4 times and it is literally the worst service ever, every single time. Staff just simply DGAF about serving you. And pressing the table buzzer doesn't do a thing, they let it ring and ignore it. For the prices you're paying, you'd expect they'd at least pretend to try.
