Pier Point Road | Marlin Marina, E31 Berth, Cairns City
Great atmosphere, fresh seafood and licensed, with rather limited choices. TBH, items are quite expensive (tourist town?) as we reside in Brisbane, and can source our seafood easily at reasonable cost. Simple setup and fantastic experience tho. Wish they'd consider expanding their menu to include some hotplates, BBQ or skewers etc the next time we are around.
Good service, cool concept. The prawns and bugs were really tasty. Wasn't so keen on the oysters though. Overall a fun experience worth checking out if you like prawns and want a casual fun afternoon with a couple of beers or wines.
Lovely experience. Friendly staff. Oysters were a stand out. They were plump, juicey and tasty. We had the jumbo platter.
An awesome experience to have seafood and beer or wine on one of 4 boats! Friendly service and great ambience. Reasonably priced too. Limited to seafood only.
It was an amazing evening. We read that it is a must to eat fresh seafood in Cairns and this place was recommended. We followed this recommendation and we were not disappointed. I have never eaten so many fresh and delicious prawns in one go in my life. Sitting on the boat while eating made this occasion even more spectacular.
We came during a absolute downpour. The staff were ever so accommodating to seat us at a dry table and get us drinks and food going for us. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for on our holiday. The seafood was simple and delicious. I do recommend calling ahead and making reservations as there is limited seating on the boats. We are looking forward to returning again.
Best seafood in Cairns. Great service and atmosphere right on the boat. Excellent
Fun place in couple of old fishing boats on marina, friendly staff, concept is very simple super fresh seafood, no cooked dishes - except crayfish freshly cooked - otherwise all dishes served with minimal or basic condiments/sauces - minimal cutlery so very much hand food - but good area on each boat for washing hands when finished. Expect many would give 5 star - just find eating a 1kg/$90 crayfish with hands without even a knife a little too simple.
Had a great experience on the Prawn Star. Lovely atmosphere sitting on a boat enjoying fresh seafood. Not cheap but well worth it. Highly recommend for tourists and locals alike.
Food was great .soooo fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is a must if you go to Cairns. But beware it.s best to book as they were turning people away. Best seafood ever and not overpriced
