On The Soul Side Cafe

Stopped in before grabbing a train back to Sydney - Dave (behind the coffee machine) is super funny, chatty, and all around friendly. I only had a few minutes so Trish asked another customer if I could have their toasty that was already ready while Dave made the coffee (the coffee machine is vintage and amazing) sending me off to the train with a smile on my face. Cannot wait to come back the next time I'm in Katoomba!

At the Soul Side of town, also affectionately known by some as “The Nest”, prepare to be welcomed warmly, served gladly and laugh madly. Soul Side has great coffee, with Dave G and Trish leading the way putting you at ease, making it feel like home. Paraphernalia from around Australia, and the world found across the halls of the old Gearin Hotel Bar, remodelled to be a warm and cosy cafe, perfect in winter with the fireplace roaring. My favourite place to go in Katoomba, and not for lack of choice in quality Coffee: the people there are next level.

Lovely fun staff always up for a chat and a laugh.... oh and fabulous coffee and treats as well... highly recommended.

Such a great environment. Heritage pub interior, really friendly staff and good food and coffee.

Wonderful atmosphere, great coffee & food, along with being very welcoming. If you're looking for a nice relaxing afternoon, head to this place.

1000 miles is a big radius, however their claim to great coffee is true! Coffee and toastie was honestly perfect. Tasty and simple, and didn't cost a 4x pack of your favourite craft beer. Well worth a stop in for coffee! This may just be my new favourite coffee spot!
