47 Katoomba St, Katoomba
Had a great night there, meet a lovely couple who we shared a table with. Food was nice and friendly service.
We had the chips, and they were absolutely delicious. They were cooked to perfection and were crispy.
Very cool, very old school! Great atmosphere with a piano at the back. Has heating, so it's really snug. There had killed wine and a good selection of craft beers available. Meals were very nice.
Lovely staff that make you feel welcomed! The porterhouse steak was cooked incredibly well! All around great atmosphere!
Beautiful dining room upstairs which gets booked out. Very old world. The service staff were so friendly and efficient.
Awesome place. A decent menu, modest but interesting line up of beers/ciders/stout plus mulled wine! Live music when I visited. Great, friendly staff.
Potatoes (chips and wedges) were great, Porterhouse steak was not. Tough chewy meat gave my mouth a marathon (I ordered medium rare - I received medium well). Definitely do not recommend the porterhouse.
Meals are small portions so don't go in expecting a pub feed. The worst thing about this place is the service, especially from one of the guys who has a major attitude problem. This guy opens a door on a cold winter's day .. to feed a cable for an outdoor heater! So now 30 or so people were freezing inside so a couple people outside had access to a cheap heater.. we asked him nicely if he could at least close the door on the cable so the whole thing wasn't wide open but he's response was "it has to stay open for the cable" and walked off... Eventually one of the staff with common sense made him close the door.
Great little local pub, friendly staff and mulled wine!
Old school pub grub cooked and served the way it should be. Steak was perfectly cooked and the pie was delicious. Super cool vibe as well
