Enough oil and food colour to make you sick! We arrived around 9pm, the receptionist was courteous and accommodated us even though the kitchen was shutting shortly after. We placed all our orders in one go, conscious of their closing time. The food came out pretty quick and starters looked and tasted alright. The main course/curry was pathetic and full of oil and food colour. I tried to take out as much oil as possible (see images) in a separate plate. We were also not served the papadum we ordered. At the end I provided a polite feedback to which the female waiter didn't respond and made faces and left. Giving 2 stars just for accommodating us. Overall not recommended and wouldn't visit again.

Really beautiful tasting, high quality food and friendly service! Portion sizes are generous and the Naans (which they have a wide, creative range of) are delicious. I love the quirky descriptions they have written in their menu to give you an idea of the dish. My only qualm is the fact that their take-away service counter is right at the back of a narrow dining room and so while we were dining, there were people coming past regularly and standing around waiting for their food right near our table. But otherwise, a very satisfying and delicious experience!

The best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. Taste and flavour was fantastic, good portions and plenty of quality meat and fish. Vegetarian options were also delicious. Atmosphere was reasonable, there was some nice Indian music and music videos on the tv although the restaurant was smokey from the kitchen. Could have been a little cleaner, especially bathrooms. Staff were friendly and genuinely tried to make us happy. Would definitely eat again.

The food was ok. But not worth waiting 2 hours for from the time of order. On a night that our group table was the only dine in business (apart from two other tables of two). Nearly walked out after 90 minutes of waiting but we were there for a friend's gathering. I also hope the kitchen is cleaner than the bathrooms were. Dare I say that the health inspector hasn't visited for some time.

A nice cosy place for a curry meal specially on a cold winter evening. Good service but the food is average (not complaining, but I've had better) They are on the entertainment App, so you could get a 25% off on your total bill.

Food is great, friendly staff, we came on a Sunday they lost our booking and were under staffed. I would recommend take away as dining in was a put off having all the people waiting for takeaway staring at us while we ate. Unusual to have take away at the entrance to kitchen as shown in picture. Would easily give this 4 star otherwise.

As an Indian from UK I can definitely say this is an amazing place. We have amazing Indian restaurants in UK and this is able to live up to those places back home. Been to a few in Adelaide and this one is spot on. I love the chilli chicken with a cheeses and chilli nan ! Don’t understand reviews that give this place less than 4 stars they are obviously not focused on the food.

Pathetic Service and Ok Ok food. We asked the staff for water, instead of giving us a bottle or jug of water the staff member gave us 1 glass of water when we asked for another glass at the end of our meal he took the same glass from table ran and filled it from tap and gave that to us. Plates were dirty apparently they had 1 more table other than our table and they said they are busy and all the plates are dirty. Food was Ok Ok, but I feel the staff present should have knowledge about the food when we ask few questions that wasn't the case here. It was our mistake that we went by the name, its a normal Indian Restaurant not something special from Bengal( Calcutta is a city in West Bengal in India). Our expectations were to get some authentic Bengali food but I guess it was just our mistake that we went by name as I mentioned previously. Menu is large but all the curries tasted almost same with lots of food colouring in food. Sometimes food can be Ok Ok but if the service is good it can be ignored but this place has none to offer.

We visited this place on the New Year’s Day for the first time. Really disappointed by the quality of food. Both fish and chicken were overcooked and the rice were undercooked. Appreciate that it was New Year’s Day and they were understaffed but the service was no good. Won’t return.
