Miso eggplant is absolutely do die for!

One of the best quality restraunts in Byron bay, this Japanese style venue offers proper dining in service as well as a sushi train. The food quality is exceptional and the menu choice is diverse. Be aware that there are several more items available to order that are just not shown on the menu, all you need to do is ask one of the many friendly staff. The price is reasonable for the quality of the food. Overall 5 stars, incredible.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Arrived at 7pm and they were packed. But the young FoH manager was able to somehow find space for us after a 10 minute wait. Food was amazing with the special of parsnip and kingfish. A really interesting combination with what I think was Japanese pepper and citrus notes. We then went with the eggplant, sashimi, karrage and tempura prawns. All perfect and showing the skill of the kitchen. Will be back again.

I had such an amazing experience with my boyfriend the other night ! NSW was chucked into the deep end at 6pm and the way all the workers handled the new COVID-19 restrictions was amazing. You all did so well and I was very impressed with how well it was handled. Not to say the food was AMAZING & the service was even better. My beautiful waitress Sade was so lovely and sweet, always ensuring we were okay and were enjoying ourselves aswell as giving me an amazing recommendation which ended up being my favourite dish of the night. Can’t wait to visit there again. Thank you !!!

Great place & friendly staff, fantastic setting and atmosphere, didnt have a booking they fit me in but 1hr seating, not even time for dessert which is fine needed to walk off the fabulous food. Tasty and fresh food, beer is chilled perfectly. One of the best places Ive eaten in at Byron. Book ahead so you can squeeze in dessert, i shall next time. 🙌👏🍺🍷🙏🇭🇲 30/12/20

Incredible food! Rivals even the top rated restaurants in Brisbane and GC. I cannot recommend this place more. Our Waiter Kevin was an incredible waiter, really cares about your experience and made the whole dining experience so pleasant.

This place gets busy, so try to book or eat outside popular times. The pricing is fair, but the dishes are hit and miss... I like Japanese food (have been to japan 7 times in the past) and what I expected to be top notch was a little disappointing. The maki was terrible, and the spicy tuna roll wasn't very good, the rice was too dry and cold. The tuna nigiri was ok. The kingfish aburi was good, but the absolute stand out was the spicy tofu fingers. So that's 2* for the tuna, 5* for both the tofu and kingfish aburi. Free green tea was a nice touch.
