Motto Motto is a casual contemporary Japanese restaurant with a range of fast food style Japanese at super reasonable prices. We’ve been to the Macquarie Shopping Centre restaurant before, but this time went to Castle Hill. Motto Motto have just opened a new store in Marrickville as well. You order at the counter or via their app and the food is promptly delivered to your table. Service is not only fast, but extra friendly and they do their absolute best to make you feel welcome. They use quality ingredients to prepare our favourite signature dishes such as poke bowls, ramen, udon and rice bowls topped with premium grade wagyu beef, sashimi grade salmon and tuna. We tried one of their rice bowls, the pork belly bowl on rice as well as a poke bowl; the kingfish, salmon and avocado bowl with edamame, salad, sushi rice, yuzu soy dressing. In addition we had one of their cloud rolls, aptly named, since biting into these milk buns is like walking on a cloud. This time we opted for the spicy karaage chicken, served on one of their buns with lettuce, tomato, red onion with chilli Japanese Mayo. Motto Motto have plenty of sides too such as edamame, gyoza, fries chicken karage, garden or potato salad and rice. We tried the delicious gyoza, karage and their amazing crinkle cut fries with wasabi salt. These are unreal and so moreish, we kept going in for more. Each dish ranges between $13 – $17 and you can make it a meal, with a drink and side for just $7.90 extra. They also serve soft drinks and alcohol. Be sure to check it out and we hope you enjoy too.

Yesterday went to lunch with my son, found the counter girl who served me was not careful with handling cash, she left it on top of the cashier and didn't give me a table number. We waited for our food a long time until it came, kara age was cold, and missing one dish. I was not too pleased about it. Went to the counter, and another girl served me called Jess, she was quick, smart and able to handle situations well. Apologised even though wasn't her problem, and offered free ice cream. That settled my emotions (been though alot this week). Food still good, but definitely will need better staff members like Jess.

Located opposite the Event Cinema at Castle Towers this fast Japanese Restaurant is a little bit trendy and has some interesting food combinations. Challenging if you are pescatarian or vegetarian, they do have options but are limited. You can order online via the app and they do takeaway

Good customer service. Good food. Good choices. Affordable pricing. I thought it’s expensive. Pork belly so tender yummy. Mall parking. Limited seating.

Very happy to have an easy spot to get some Japanese staples, and nice to be away from the food court in the restaurant's own seating. Anything with pork belly is recommended! The karaage we got had more white meat than I prefer - a bit dry. But all around a good time!

Awesome. A wide selection to choose from - rice bowls, poké bowls, ramen, udon, curry and sides. The pork belly ramen/udon is beautiful - it’s broth is rich and luscious; the pork just melts in your mouth. Karaage chicken is tender, juicy and just very lightly battered. Special mention must be made of the Japanese style crinkle cut chips; the seasoning is exquisite. The curry is aromatic and has great taste. True to Japanese curry, it’s very mild and suitable for kids. Finally the matcha soft serve was on point, light and creamy with that balance of bitterness from the green tea. Definitely will be back to try out the salmon bowls!

My impression of a well established Japanese restaurant is nice food, fresh and clean. I didn't get all of these today. We arrived at 7.15pm, while waiting for table, I was impressed by the promo video at the reception about how they prepare their food and the high standard of Wagyu beef. I ordered a Wagyu beef rice bowl, original Ramen and Red Ramen. Waited for 20min and got our seat, the seat was dirty and we get the waiter to clean for us again, he used table cloth and wipe off the dirt to the floor. Erhmm... We asked for another two bowl for the kids and it was oily and we have to clean again with tissues. But all fine as we came for the food. Food arrived, honestly it look plain and I asked if it missing something, and the waiter said they are running out of shallot, gave me a small portion of seaweed as replacement. Food wise, the Wagyu beef could be better, it's more to home cook than a restaurant standard. Ramen broth was good, but it's just three slices of pork and Ramen and it's too plainm. I would be good to have some vege and shallot together. Will I come again? Yes, but I would really hope they can improve on the food preparation quality and also the cleanliness.

Not sure if it was just I went on a Sunday but the Ramen was obviously out of a packet from a super market and the Gyoza was the same. Don't waste your money going here you can buy the same stuff from Woolies and cook it better at home yourself for a eighth of the price.

Great food and amazing service. Portion sizes were just a tiny bit too small to feel full but nonetheless still satisfying.
