The look of the restaurant was pretty cool. Bright yellow inside with colours that give off a Mexican feel. However, the food left a lot to be desired. It could be improved, but we still left with a full stomach. A simple Mexican restaurant - it would not be my first choice though. The big appeal is it being in Glenelg and therefore close to the beach.

Food was good once we got it. We waited over 45 minutes for the first of our orders to come. The restaurant wasn’t busy yet we waited 45 minutes before we were even served and then it was because we called the waiter over to us. One water bottle was brought out for 14 of us with 5 glasses. We had to ask for more water for the others as well as 9 more glasses. Tables were very sticky. There were multiple signs up stating that kids eat free mon-Thursday yet all 6 kids were charged in full for their meals until I pointed it out to the parents that kids are meant to be free. Nice decor & atmosphere but it’s really not worth going here when the wait to be served and the wait to receive meals is so incredibly long.

Definitely not a fan of the cheese they use, tastes cheep and makes my tummy uncomfortable. Beef was very salty and tasted just salty but nothing else. The sangria was definitely not made of fresh wine as it had this weird taste, but won’t expect more since it’s only 10 buck for 1 liter. Won’t return.

It would have been better if they had a non spicy Menu as well.

Very friendly staff. Went to make a booking, I loved how polite they were when they were on the phone to me, but also had to cancel and they were still very friendly which I appreciate very much, well done Montezumas at Glenelg 😊👍🏻
