Millstone

I’m so glad a friend recommended this place for us to catch up at on a rainy Friday. We scored a table for two inside, checked in and found it hard to hard as everything looked delicious. My friend had the black porridge which was in the menu. It was delicious, soul warming and a great portion. I ordered a chicken baguette what was behind the counter. It was a great size and so good with my two coffees. We couldn’t resist one of the cakes that we couldn’t stop staring at during lunch. We shared the lemon drizzle cake. It was so good. I took home a slice of the blueberry cheesecake for my kids they loved it!

The best place to go for your dessert treat if you are around Malvern area. Highly recommended for anyone who has a sweet tooth. Hot chocolate is absolutely amazing. Had a few cake slices and a cinnamon bun, all of them are beautiful. Would definitely come back for a brunch or dinner next time. Highly recommended their orange almond cake (the first picture). Side notes: there might be a queue during peak time.Estimated waiting time for more than 3 people - 15~20 minutes.

Amazing place for a mid day brunch or just some desserts and hot chocolate. Amazing collection of few pastries/cakes. Best hot chocolate ive had. A nice place, would recommend my friends, just exit Malvern station, cross the street and its there. 👌

Great food. Two very charming young men. Disappointed as I ordered ahead as we are in lockdown and they did not keep my order. Quality of food excellent

Really great coffee. Lots of coffee places around there and these guys nail it. Also had an amazing cinnamon bun. Whilst delicious it was $6 so a luxury. Pet friendly as well!

Tried their cakes, delicious! One of the best cakes in melbourne. Coffee is average, could do with some improving but not bad. Customer service is not very consistent, went there on a busy day and you could sense the vibe that the staff were stressed. They seemed to be slightly all over the place, a little unprofessional. Other than that, the cakes will surely get me to come back! The cafe is cute, nice decor.

It took way too long! I ordered a takeaway latte, paid and ask staff whether it was ok to wait outside as there isn’t much room and I had a pram with me. I waited for good 15min, when I asked about my coffee I was told I’m up next. I left after 20 min with a “oh sorry” by staff who didn’t even offer me reimbursement. Will not recommend this to friends

Ordered the vanilla and passionfruit cake and it was amazing! But what was even more impressive was the first class customer service that the Millstone team provided. I had an request for next day and they were able to cater to my request, and were responsive to all my requests! Thanks so much Millstone!

The greatest house made chef French cakes ever! One of Melbourne's best hidden little gems. A++. You must try Millstone!
