A great spot which has an amazing team of chefs and waitresses. The menu is great and the coffee is also delish.

Ordered 2 takeaway dishes and were thoroughly enjoying both until 2 long hairs were found in one of the dishes. The first hair I put up with and tried to carry on but on finding the second hair in the same dish I couldn’t continue. I called the restaurant to advise of the situation where I was given a sincere apology and told a message would be passed onto the kitchen but offered no compensation. The rest of our $40 breakfast went into the bin along with my hopes of returning again. Truly disappointing.

I did a 16 K hike, followed by breakfast at May Street Larder...and the FOOD WAS AMAZING! THEY MADE A SIMPLE POACHED EGG into a delicious masterpiece. Thanks to the chef. Must be an amazing Woman!!

Enjoyed a fantastic Monday afternoon lunch here. Lots on the modern Australian menu to choose from, including healthy fresh options like kale salad, right through to tasty burgers and chicken sandwiches. High ceilings, lots of space, very open and airy. There was a nice relaxed vibe here. Lots of seating options too (High bar tables, small tables for two, large tables for many). Perfect for a quiet mid-week escape. Likely will be much busier on a weekend. They even have sparkling water on tap at no extra charge.

First time visit, I was recovering from surgery. Lovely smooth French toast. Very nice savoury muffins. Will come back again.

May Street Larder is also home to an enticing selection of fermented, pickled, cured and preserved items that you can take home to share with friends and family.
