Martha's

Martha's put on a brilliant 100th Birthday luncheon for our 34 extended family members. Drinks and mouth-watering canapes on arrival were followed by a delicious meal. All tastes and any allergies were seamlessly catered for. Arthur and Mark did a fantastic job personally ensuring we all had a memorable day.

On one of our weekly adventures trying out and supporting local restaurants, we found Martha’s tonight. Nice ambience and attentive service. I had a very good beef tartare (even though missing the egg yolk) and shared some sardines to start. The Angus beef was a bit over the medium rare that we asked for but we didn’t make a fuss. Overall, high prices and ok food!

Kim S Sydney, Australia Piece of Paper included with the Main Course! Had lunch at Martha's today, food was pleasant enough until I was about to eat some of the potato that came with the duck. There was a piece of greaseproof paper about 75mm long and 15mm wide in the potato, I extracted it and the chef spotted me showing someone, he came over and grabbed it, mumbled something - no apology - no comment, nothing. Certainly won't be returning which is a shame

After much anticipation to dine at Martha's, we were incredibly disappointed by the standard, quality and freshness of the food. Service - we couldn't fault. Hospitable, warm and friendly - and french! Entree - the terrine was overly chunky and not smooth and tasted stale. Gravalax had a nice taste to it but again, salmon didn't taste fresh. Twice baked cheese souffle was over-done and should be called 10 times baked souffle. Clearly it was cooked ahead of time, re-heated a few times as it came out like a dry sponge. We couldn't eat it. The special of asparagus tasted just like steamed asparagus with little flair. The duck was similar to the souffle - cooked well ahead of time, reheated possibly a number of times and all moisture removed so it was tough and dry as leather. We couldn't eat it. We're disappointed at the standard given the prices and the level it clearly pitches at - more fine dining. We hope this feedback is taken constructively and proactively to only improve Martha's standards.

PSA: this is a place you MUST eat at. Go for the self mix steak tartare, perfectly cooked calamari and the Eton Mess to die for. Everything is great here, they also do a great Sunday roast! I can't stop raving about how consistently impeccable Martha's is. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Arthur and Mark, for another fantastic meal; for love you put into preparing the food and care you take in looking after your patrons. If I could give you ten stars, I would.

A great dining experience shared with treasured friends for over many decades. The food options which appear to change daily set up a cuisine which truly delighted the palates. The entree (or starter) options allowed for a mix and match for two or even three course meal choices which were of exceptional quality. The servers and chefs managed to build upon the menu options to deliver a fine dining experience which could easily be backed up many times a month. Well done and so worthy to make this place a regular dining out location. Enjoy, don't wait too long to add to your dining experience.

Lunch last weekend - Food was really good better than last time we had been. Service attentive, location much quiter than previous restaurant location. Enjoyable meal

Beautiful local restaurant in Northbridge. The food is fresh, tasty and wonderful. Mark and Arthur really make you feel welcome. Portions are a great size. I love Martha’s ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Called on Friday and requested a booking for 2 for Saturday lunch to celebrate a special occasion (56th wedding anniversary). Restaurant confirmed the booking with arrival time around 1pm. On Saturday morning about an hour before we were due to be there ,received a call from the restaurant advising us they were fully booked for lunch for a private function but they could set up a table and two chairs for us out on the footpath - very noisy with constant traffic fumes apart from the weather which was cold and cloudy, very windy and around 15 degrees. To think we would be happy with that sort of treatment absolutely upset us and ruined what was meant to be a joyous occasion. I told them exactly what I thought of their offer. They did not offer any apologies. Lovely!
