Spicy Lamb is great. Always fresh as the are very busy. Ladies behind the counter are fun to watch. Lots of yelling🤣

Can’t resist having a snack when I’m here. Centrally located within the South Melbourne Market, I’ve come here a few times and tried something different each time. My favourite is the vegetarian. Portion size is pretty good although one doesn’t always fill me. Plenty of choices as well for those with dietaries or just like to mix it up a little. The staff are so lovely. Wheelchair accessible and kid friendly.

It's funny reading reviews from people who probably have had limited exposure to similar types of foods they are reviewing. Or perhaps they are not lucky enough to live in communities who specialise in a particular type of cuisine. Whilst the term borek or pide is appropriate, the quality and quantity of filling separates it from a bread with some fillings. Unfortunately that's what the category the boreks here fall into. Thick bread, limited filling...

I love the customer service here. These ladies are so fast and efficient. The food is 5 star!

Turkish breads were 💯👌beautiful service. We bought the spicy lamb at $6 - heated up for us. The spices and capsicums really balanced out the lamb. Classy decor.

I bought 12 boreks to have and also put in the freezer as a quick snack and I was so disappointed with the lack of meat and filling they put in these. I literally feel like all I paid for was some bread and a few specs of meat. Really don't think I would recommend. If you want to just sell bread then do that don't sell "boreks" that have pretty much air in them.

Market Borek Pros: 👧The ladies behind the counter are always lovely & nice to talk to. 🗺 This stand is located inside the food court of the south Melbourne markets. 🥘 The food is always delicious, & the baked goods fluffy and fresh. The chicken borek is my favourite, full of herbs and flavour. If your unsure what to buy, there’s always samples. 💰Prices are reasonable for the quality & quantity you are getting. Cons: 📌There’s not a lot of selection or options to chose from.

Went there with my client for a few weeks and the food and prices are good but one of the staff ladies is just horrible! She told my client off for asking her to please not touch the food (which has happened for a fact with another staff member) and yelled at her today because my client thanked her for wrapping the food nicely. Then despite telling us she doesn’t wanna be rude or argue, she raged on loudly, it was an embarrassment for everyone around. That‘s just poor behavior and costumer service, we won’t go back there!
