A good alternative to your typical country town pubs. Setup is basic and service is friendly and prompt. We ordered their steak sandwich which is awesome and great value at $7. Don’t bother with the fries as it’s tasteless. They should change the potatoes to more flavoursome type. Coffee too is not much good either. Go for the steak sandwich.

So refreshing to find real food (fresh food) on a road trip. Coffee was great as were the staff.

Everytime my wife and I are driving from Dubbo to Broken Hill, we have our stop in Cobar. Maddies Cafe is the one that save us. Always with a smile in their faces and very friendly, it's a good stop to have a fast lunch. If you want a steak sandwich or a fish n' chips, they have it. :)

Went into get sandwich last week. I was horrified to see waitress making sandwiches with dirt under fingernails no gloves or tongs.she was using her bare fingers to pick up salad.half way through She took phone out of her pocket and checked it.i asked for my money back & will never return

Stopped here on our way back home for a late lunch at 2:45 and they shut at 3 just before a long weekend and they still let us order! Ordered a few well known Australian delicacies and were super stoked how awesome the feed was. Burgers were totally magical and my wife was dreaming about the double steak burger so much she decided to recreate it at home! We took our takeaway to the nearest park and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyway apparently we'd forgotten our chips and the girl actually took the time to find us on the park to give us our chips! Totally unheard of these days. 10 stars for service. 10 stars for the food. Loved it. Would go back here in a heart beat of it wasn't 8 hrs away. Sooo much better than subway.

Great coffee and lovely food. Plenty of locals and crew in fluro suggests it's the place to go :)
