Lucias By The Sea Wollongong

We heard good things about this place, that’s why we booked.. unfortunately it was far from good. Restaurant was packed, as far as covid goes no one was social distancing. The set up of the buffet was badly positioned, the line to the buffet was in between our tables. People lining up standing right behind our chairs while we eat. No clean plates or cutlery. Dirty dishes left on the tables near the buffet. When we got to the buffet there were 5 pasta dishes, two of them (one seafood dish) was not put on food warmers, the waiter was scraping the bottom of the serving plate to grab the pasta. There was one pizza being brought out a time. When I sat down to eat the little pasta I had on my plate it was cold and tasteless. There was no drink service to wash down the cold pasta. The antipasto platter was empty with left over Bocconcini swimming in their juices on the plate. Overall it was a sloppy presentation for both sections. We didn’t bother with the dessert as we didn’t want to continue the dissatisfaction and disappointment. There was not enough food to call it a all you can eat buffet and the quality of food was definitely not worth $25.

Lovely place for lunch. The view is superb and the food and wine was great. It's across the Novotel hotel where we were staying. The fish on the menu were cooked well and delicious. Could not fault it. My Chicken Parm not so. I should really have gotten a fish or seafood. The entrees, oysters and the calamari were also good. Wine we got was a good compliment to the dishes and went down well. We came when it was quiet and we got seated at the window with a view. Service was friendly. Would definitely recommend this place for long lunch. Nice coffee to finish up the lunch.

We had lunch here today (Sunday 23rd May) and it was excellent (both food and service) Between us we had scallops entree, smoked trout risotto and half lobster for mains and cannoli for dessert and all were excellent. My daughter wanted kids fish and chips, and even though not on the menu the chef happily made it for her and she scored it a 10 out of 10 ! Service also very attentive but not over the top. We will definitely visit again

Went here for lunch. There was a bday party there and hence the restaurant was busy. Though we had a reservation, we had to wait close to 10 minutes before we were even noticed at the door and ushered to our seats. The wait for the food was close to 1 hour. However giving them 4 stars because despite the slow service, the food and drinks were amazing. Taste and plating were excellent. It overlooks the beach and hence have a fantastic view. Vegan and GF options available as well.

We had an amazing night celebrating my partners 30th birthday. Outstanding customer service from all the staff at Lucia's, they went above and beyond what was required. The food was delicious, could not fault anything! Highly recommend for functions and will definitely be back 🙂 THANK YOU!!

Food was delicious and the customer service was amazing. Amazing is a understatement. Normally I wouldn’t ever leave a review but the service we received was absolutely amazing, super friendly and the staff went above and beyond what was required. The customer service was 20 out of 10

We had dinner last nite @ Lucia's. It was beautiful cooked to perfection. The service was excellent especially the guy who took our order, nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys. Cant wait to dine with you again. Donna & Graham O'Neill

Tuesday all you can eat dinner buffet not worth the hype or money Booked the buffet for 7:30, was not informed at the time of booking that the buffet would only be open till 8, this information could’ve have been clearer :/ Low quality wine offered complimentary on arrival I also didn’t like how the buffet was policed, staff served pasta and pizza on the plate, was a bit awkward asking them to put more when they asked “is this enough?” Pasta felt reheated, it had that crunch to it when you reheat pasta. Overall would not dine here again, regretting the $50 I paid

Good Italian food with amazing beach and ocean views. Don't miss it for a good dinning experience!
