Lontara

We dined at the restaurant on Friday evening. The inside area was set up which was pleasant surprise as it was cool outside. The meal was delightful. We had the octopus, Brussels sprouts and the crispy fish. All were very good, as was the attention and interaction with the staff. A great way to start the long weekend.

Staff are extremely friendly and could not do enough for us. The food was full of flavours and we enjoyed our meal. A couple of issues, the zucchini flower had coriander in it, would have like this to be stated on the menu. Also the scallops in the pork belly need to be seared (cooked) more, the texture wasn't great.

We ate dinner at Lontara both nights we stayed at Samphire and also had breakfast one day. The food was lovely, by far the best food you will find on the island! The service was great too and all the staff were very friendly. We can’t wait to come back! I’d highly recommend.

Great Food, excellent service and informative suggestions on food and wine. We dined at Lontara on Thursday 22 April in evening, the hostess introduced herself and Fernando, the waiter who would be looking after us, he provided good advice on wines, food and size of meals. The entrees took a while to appear, though once started the food arrived at a steady pace. Flavours were balanced, tasty and spicy. Prices overall were quite reasonable, we would definitely recommend Lontara for any meal of the day Enjoy! (Pic of Lamb Ribs Yum!)

We had read mixed reviews and admit to feeling slightly anxious. We need not have worried, the service was attentive from the minute we arrived and the food was next level, I only wish we could have thanked the Chef in person. The cocktail recommended by Anna was sublime. We have no hesitation in recommending Lontara.

This place is amazing. The decor, the view are outstanding. A great relaxed vibe. Then there is the food. What can I say. AMAZING! we tried lots of the menu. A lovely sharing sensation. Couldn’t decide what to have. Scallops, oysters, chicken, octopus salad, spangled emperor, pork belly all absolutely fantastic. Staff were super attentive, glasses filled without noticing and so friendly. Thank you. The highlight of our Rottnest holiday for sure. Planning when we can come back. Do it!

We had a table of four for both lunch and dinner sharing a selection of dishes. The meals were absolutely faultless as too the service. Generous servings, great flavours with a good wine list and cocktails to match. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. Awesome setting with a relaxed beach bar vibe. Definitely worth a try. Good job guys !!

We ended our extra long weekend with a sensational meal at Lontara. Having heard mixed reviews we were hoping to silence the critics. And we can! The service was great without being over bearing particularly when advising on how many dishes to order - we were a little optimistic. The food was fabulous and each dish was served after an appropriate amount of time so that we could enjoy in a timely manner. Loved the Asian/Malay chicken but the lamb ribs were outstanding. All up we three were impressed and definitely recommend.

Service need tweeking but the food served here south East Asian is by far some of the best food I've ever eaten I was really impressed by all of the dishes served couldn't fault anything. The chef really understands flavours!!!!!! I would take the ferry just to eat the food. Well done

One of the best meals we've had in a very long time! Efficient service, friendly and helpful stuff and amazing food! We had dinner both nights of our stay 9 and 10 April 2021 and also had breakfast both mornings. Faultless!! Thank you for an incredible stay :)
