I love a good pork knuckle! But it’s actually so hard to find one which is crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside! Look no further than Little Hof and the south Melbourne market. We really enjoyed everything and who knew freshly baked pretzels could be so delicious! 😍 highly recommend if you like German food and please order the apple strudel for me!

I must say, as someone who is typically a picky eater, I wasn’t sure how I’d go here. BUT I absolutely loved my visit to Little Hof! I was so shocked by the fact that they offered vegan options (I’d never tried a vegan bratwurst before!). This was such a unique and fun experience! Plus they genuinely tasted amazing, and you could tell the ingredients were super high quality. The staff were so lovely and accommodating; we loved our lunch date followed by a couple of delicious pretzels. Would highly recommend popping by the markets for a truly authentic and memorable feast! Definitely worth the visit, and will be bringing friends back here for sure!

Little Hof reminded me of how much I miss good quality, authentic German food! 100% recommend the pork knuckle! The size is perfect for sharing between 2 - the CRISPY skin that is ASMR when you bite it, the tender pieces of pork that just fall away from the bone... such an indulgent, high quality meal for such a convenient, almost pop-up like store! The curry wurst sausage, a staple street food from Germany was super juicy and flavoursome - combine it with a warm buttery pretzel! The Bratwurst hot dog was so tasty and loaded with the perfect combo of sauerkraut and onions, making it a very filling and easy lunch, good to snack on whilst exploring South Melbourne market. The apple strudel is also a delicious combo of soft apple, cinnamon, warmth and vanilla sauce!

We loved the food at Little Hof on our Friday night visit. Good quality German style sausages and an excellent pork knuckle (with crispy crackling) along with some yummy Bavarian Bretzels and a corn cob or two too for an authentic taste of German street food. Make sure you save room for the Apfel Strudel which is one of the better we have had. Looking forward to coming back when the liquor license is up and running as I think there is great crowd potential here on the warm weather night.

Love their pork knuckle and kransky dishes. The knuckle is crackling on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside, just delicious overall, comes with sauerkraut and gurken. The kransky is also packed full of flavour, comes with onions and gurken on the bun but we usually ask them to swap the onions for sauerkraut for my husband who hates onions - wish they allowed this when ordering online for delivery. The owner mentioned they're usually open Wednesday through to Sunday 9am to 9pm but tend to close earlier on Sunday cuz they tend to be sold out earlier.

If you're visiting South Melbourne Market, eating at Little Hof is a must. Really authentic selection of german-inspired goodies including a delicious spicy beef Debreciner and classic Apple strudel. Also the best pretzel I've ever tried, served with a special cheese dip.

GERMAN STREET EATS IN SOUTH MELBOURNE MARKET, YES PLEASE! We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and was throughly impressed with the high quality of the foods, how reasonably priced they were and the atmosphere of the place with its alfresco style dining. German food is known for its meaty and hearty dishes and Little Hof Oida definitely delivered! We ordered the currywurst which was super flavouraome and saucy and can easily be eaten whilst on the go.The Hax'n'Box Whole Pork Knuckle is definitely a must get dish! Straight out from the rotisserie, the crackling was super crispy yet the meat was super tender and juicy. This can be eaten by one person or shared by two people depending how hungry you are!The apple strudle was a lovely way to end the dinner. It felt very home made and was not overtly sweet and was served on a delicious custard! Highly recommended and can't wait to return!

German inspired menu and we were so impressed how good everything was. They have so many savoury options and also have dessert too. Slow cooked pork knuckle was cooked to perfection. That crackle was everything 😍 Bretzel was seriously amazing. It goes so well with the cheese dip (obatzda) and currywurst. If your a dessert lover you have to try apfel strudel omg that combo was absolutely delish. We had the following 💕Bretzel 💕Pork Knuckle 💕Chilli Kransky 💕Debreciner 💕Obetza (cheese dip) 💕Currywurst 💕Apfel Strudel 💕German cola and beer They even have vegan options too. We can’t choose our fav we loved it all and thanks for having us. Can’t wait to go back 💕 Definitely check out @little_hof_oida

Delicious German food with fantastic service from the staff. We weren't sure what to order so the staff selected for us which was a great idea because we tried some items we haven't tried before. The food was delicious and we recommend the pork knuckle as it is not only a delight to look at but to also eat (plus it comes with a whole pickle, side of kraut and mustard!)

We had an amazing time visiting Little Hof at the South Melbourne Market last weekend, they have delicious German street food that took us straight back to Berlin. What we had: 🐷 Hax'n Box - whole pork nuckle (the skin was super crispy), Sauerkraut, mustard, gherkin 🥨 Bavarian Bretzel - lye Bretzel (so warm and soft with a touch of rock salt) and butter 🥫 Currywurst - Bratwurst in a Berlin style curry-tomato sauce (it's as good as the original) 🍏 Apfelstrudel - original apple strudel (perfect pastry with cream and blueberries) 🥤 Bavarian Softdrink - Clubmate (we really loved this) Next time you are at the market go check them out, I guarantee you will feel like you are travelling without leaving Melbourne!
