The grounds are lovely as is the building and rooms. The service was good too although explanation of inclusions was limited. Nice restaurant with breakfast and dinner included. Would have preferred the option to just have breakfast to allow more opportunity to visit more restaurants in the area. There was a lot of noise in the hallway and you could hear other people's doors close which was a real issue on one night as our neighbour was in and out of their room all night. The road that goes into the accommodation is gravel and not well surfaced IE lots of large pot holes and there's no dedicated parking for guests which is a bit of an issue when there's a wedding. Parking is also under trees. I ended up with some tree sap on my bonnet so beside the dirt and I had to get the car cleaned asap to prevent any potential permanent damage to my car. I think they need to invest in sealing the road and expanding the car park and/or having a dedicated guest parking area.

Gorgeous stay exploring the grounds, wining by the fire, relaxing in the pool and enjoying the local produce in the restaurant. A fantastic option for a local holiday – a real escape. Also very close to the hot springs and wineries. Highly recommend it.

Beautiful area and the food, wine and accommodation is amazing. Giving 4 stars because privacy is a little lacking as you share a balcony with other guest and can hear their conversations!

Just returned from spending 2 nights at Lindenderry. Could not fault our stay. The grounds are stunning. Well maintained, beautiful trees & greenery, a lake, tennis court, indoor heated pool, places to sit throughout the estate & enjoy the views and sit in silence. The staff were all very friendly, our room and the whole place was so clean. There’s lovely sitting rooms throughout where you can sit & read a book, the fireplaces are used in winter. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding. We had such a relaxing stay & can’t wait to return.

Such an amazing hills retreat. Lovely ambiance and accommodating staff. It's always the small thing that make the experience great. Wine decanter in the room, umbrellas for use. Multiple areas with wood fires to read a book. Awesome local eateries close by make it well situated, recommend 'many little'

We had our wedding at Lindenderry in March, and we couldn't be happier. Since we booked in our date, both Lynda & Marissa were fantastic in assisting us in planning our big day! They were super responsive and helpful with any queries we had in the year leading up to it, and in the final months leading up to our wedding, they really went above and beyond what we expected in helping us finalise and perfect the day! They made the day so easy, we were able to just enjoy ourselves, knowing everything was in their very capable hands. The venue itself is stunning, there are so many beautiful options for ceremony and photo locations if you're thinking of having your wedding there. The meals and drinks were amazing (we are still getting comments from our guests about the food!). All the staff there were very helpful whenever we were visiting and helped make the day when it came, we really can't thank them enough! We look forward to coming again and enjoying the hotel and restaurant!

Beautiful stay. Peaceful, lush gardens and great hotel service. Only let down was the new chef and menu at their dining room. There are plenty of other great places in the area though - we enjoyed Rare Hare, Green Olive and Montalto

I have not written a bad review before but feel I need to as our room ( land the 3 other rooms our friends were in)was in a very ordinary state with patched blotches all over the wall, awaiting a full repaint we assume and then we all had lukewarm or very cold showers the next morning and we’re not offered any compensation. The wedding venue was great, staff were great but the food was ridiculously lacking in all areas - quantity, quality and dry & cold. It really was a joke - the shared plates for 6 or 8 (non of us were sure who was meant to share what as they plates were soooo far apart) held enough for 1person at best. Broccoli must be cheap because there was plenty of it - a shame it was stone cold too-the potatoes were tiny and cold and the 2 mouthfuls of eye fillet were dry and very hard to swallow so the 2 mouthful of chicken fillet was the only decent thing I got. I hate to think what the bridal family’s were charged and I think the winery should be embarrassed with what they dished up.

I dislike writing bad reviews. I had stayed overnight at Lindenderry several years ago for an anniversary - food was good, accommodation less so - old and tired, but possibly updated in the intervening time, so I make no comment about these aspects. The grounds, particularly the lush green strip, is as beautiful and photogenic as before. We arrived there early, the chairs were set up. I was surprised to see the groom running back and forth trying to find help to set up PA equipment, etc. Two staff members eventually arrived; but much grief and stress would have been saved for the meticulous groom planning his perfect wedding, if they had come and set it up earlier (it sounds from another comment that this earlier set up was agreed on but failed to happen). A delay in starting may not be unusual but should not be an excuse for tardy set-up on the part of the organising venue. A minimum expectation of any prospective bridal couple should be that the ceremony would not be delayed by their own vendors. The processional music started at the wrong time, prompting the bridal party, including several young children to start on the march and walk half way down the green before being told to go back. One of the flower girls was confused / tired / frustrated by this, and so on the actual correct processional, walked to the half way point and started walk back to the start again, causing a mess with the bridal procession with the bridesmaids getting tangled up - and potentially their wedding video/photography. When we checked on the couple in the following weeks - expecting to hear tales of bliss - instead they had been spending significant amounts of time being distressed and frustrated over the several thousand dollars they had been overcharged (now rectified, seemingly only after unnecessary pain and stress). Worst of all has been the management's inability to say sorry for the mishaps that have occurred. Reading the management's responses to the distressed detailing of their client's experience, it feels like the management is berating the couple and others who attended for their honest feedback, rather than being truly sorry for the poor service. I believe the situation calls for an unreserved, personal apology and an effort at making amends to the bride and groom - not just a hiding behind many, lofty words on a public forum. I wish this venue the best, it has so much potential to be better.

Stunning property, the balcony suite was beautiful and clean. Breakfast staff were friendly and breakfast was lovely. The lady on reception when we arrived was rude, not informative or welcoming. There was no wifi in our room. No reception on the desk during the evening. And our room was not made or towels replenished even though the sign was on the door and we were out all day. Very expensive for what it is and surprised to be charged $8 for two extra coffees at breakfast. Even though the outdoors was beautiful the building itself is tired and reminded us of a nursing home. My partner and I were so looking forward to our stay but sadly it was disappointing and we would not recommend to others.
