La Granita

The only real Gelato in Darwin. Made locally by Antonio, a true mastro gelataio! Pistachio & Hazelnut... what a combo!!

Simply amazing, such a selection of ice creams to choose from and all delicious so far, finding it hard not to come back after every dinner meal we have had while on holiday for dessert.

The chocolate and coffee gelato was beyond heavenly. Both the flavours were rich, velvety and oh so decadent! But really, that chocolate gelato was hands down one of the best I've ever had!

The best of the best, La Granita beats the rest! There's Ice Cream (or I should say 'Gelato') and then there's the rest of the frozen stuff called the same, but have little to do with ice cream. If anyone is looking to indulge in a sweet treat like ice-cream, try this one!!! Any flavours (gelato or sorbets) will be a guaranteed great experience.

YOU KNOW WHEN THE ICE CREAM IS GOOD WHEN YOU WHEN BEEN THERE 5 TIMES AND CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT. THESE PEOPLE HAVE SUCH A STRONG PASSION AND LOVE FOR WHAT THEY DO AS YOU CAN TASTE THAT IN EACH BITE. THEY NOT ONLY PROVIDE DELICIOUS ITALIAN ICE CREAM BUT AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH A SMILE ON THEIR FACE AS EACH CUSTOMER WALKS THROUGH THE DOOR. SO IF YOUR EVER IN DARWIN CITY THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR ITALIAN ICE CREAM.

We’re recommended by the Italian restaurant close by, and that was a great recommendation. Wife got hazelnut which she loved, I got pistachio which was twice as good as the other gelato place. Fair prices, friendly staff. Just Go! We’ll be back for sure.

La Granita is an experience!!! With many flavours you may not find at other places (such as mascarpone my personal favourite) and lovely staff that are great to converse with I definitely recommend coming here to satisfy any and all of your ice-cream needs. The shop also has great opening hours, and create the ice-cream themselves. Thank you La Granita, I will see you again soon !

Love this place. Great gelato and really generous servings for the price. Awesome place to come after a date or dinner for dessert. The takeaway containers gets packed to the brim and its well insulated so you'll arrive home with delicious ice cream rather than delicious gloop. Hazelnut is my favourite flavour followed by Coffee and Creme Brulee.

Got the green apple, mascarpone and pear walnut. The mascarpone was insane - can’t wait to spread the work and come back!!
