L’olio Italian Restaurant

I really enjoy the food and the cosy family style restaurant atmosphere. It's definitely a hidden gem in the West. The service was good and the food was great. Highly recommend their meatballs and garlic prawns for entry. Their burnt butter, pumpkin and sage gnocchi is to die for, compliment with the rocket pear and walnut salad. If you are looking for a casual night out with great food, this is the place for you.

Wonderful service, food was excellent! Took my very fussy Italian mother there for lunch and she was extremely impressed. Authentic Italian food with wonderful flavours. Also If you are coeliac comes highly recommended . Wonderful experience, great wines, great authentic atmosphere.

THE BEST GNOCCHI I have tasted. Sauces are so tasty especially crab and mushroom sauce. Thanks Melissa and her wonderful staff for a great night. 5 star food and service👍🙂🍝

Little gem in Smithfield/Fairfield! Great gnocchi and delicious dessert. Highly recommend the crepes!

Pretty good, unfortunately there were a few pieces of crab shell but they were big enough to spot and take out.

Best Gnocchi Money can buy - good local option, tad expensive - dont miss out on their mid week specials!

Been here 2 Saturday's in row and the food is delish! The service is amazing as the wait staff go above and beyond to make your dining experience wonderful. My sister asked for her remaining gnocchi to be in a take away container (servings are generous) but they made her a fresh one for a take away free of charge! How beautiful is that! Definitely a hidden gem and highly recommended ❤

I've always been disappointed with Italian restaurants that does doughy gnocchi, and have never ordered one for well over 15 years. I am a convert after a visit to L'Olio tonight! It was, simply put, D-E-V-I-N-E. Melt-in-your-mouth soft, fluffy pillows and the variety of sauces to go with the variety of different gnocchi. . The four stars are for the food, service, and value for money. Unfortunately, the restaurant will be extremely noisy when busy you can't hear people sitting across from you talk. Recommend to book online (they respond within 30 minutes), phone might not be answered before 18:00. So happy to have been shown the way of proper gnocchi at last. What a great little place in Smithfield.
