Koomo Restaurant & Bar

A good experience and very popular Japanese restaurant so you need to book ahead to avoid upset. We got a table on the night only based on the fact we were staying at the Crown. Layout is nice and contemporary with natural timbers and a lot of light. Not a huge menu selection and in my opinion, slightly overpriced for the portion sizes and variety offered. We opted for shared menu 1 and although it was nice, for a $170 dinner for two I would expect more. Atmosphere and views from outside are great. Staff were mostly friendly and accommodating. Keith was brilliant and engaging and served with a smile - thank you!

We got the chef's menu and absolutely loved the food. However we were still a bit hungry at the end, which was disappointing considering the price. Staff were very friendly and attentive, however we also had a few issues with some bright overhead lights being switched on and off. I think staff kept turning them on .. But guests kept requesting them to go off as they were really bright. It brought the mood down a bit. Overall loved this place and the ambiance but for the price would hope for a bit more food.

Expected much, much more.. I don’t often give 3 stars. But I really don’t think Koomo lived up to the hype. We visited for dinner. The Cocktails were boring and really quite tasteless. 4 on offer, we had 2. Broccoli was slightly under cooked and a little boring. However the serving was massive. The Sashimi was very tasty and we both really enjoyed it. The crab rolls were nice, no complaints here. The “special” fish was nice, serving was a bit on the small side. Dessert was a real let down and we felt it didn’t represent the menu at all. Flavour a we’re boring and bland. (We actually didn’t finish them). I think the best part was the ice cream in the Affogato. The staff however were very nice, attentive and professional. The decor and design of the restaurant was nice, however it was noisy and I feel it needs some additional, soft furnishings or features to absorb some of this. It’s may be Adelaide’s hugest Restaurant, but it’s certainly not in the clouds. Views are ok, I’ve seen better in Adelaide.

We had a great experience at Koomo Adelaide. With an appealing menu and a classy collection of wine, Koomo made our evening special. A special thanks to Toni who made sure we had a great experience. If you love Japanese cuisine this place is perfect for groups or a date night.

Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean and smelled good. The staff and greeter was very nice. Our waiter was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and awesome .Bear in mind their steaks are quite expensive, but it was VERY GOOD (we don't have steak pictures though). Also we had grilled broccoli, was interesting and tasty. Then we also had dessert and that was really good as well. Great atmosphere with really nice people.

4/5 ⭐️‘s seems like a fair rating as the panorama view was phenomenal and the Scandinavian-inspired interior also was very pleasing on the eye. Really nice. That staff was lovely too and I appreciated the concept of the food being a modern interpretation of Japanese food with a touch of Chinese and also western influences. What was lacking, however, was the execution of the vegetarian dishes (the meat dishes all looked wonderful while the plant-based ones seemed a little bit like a second thought). So, once they have improved their veggie dishes I will be back for sure 😉

We were well looked after by all the friendly staff. Views from our seat by the window were stunning as the sunset. Food was impeccable! we ordered a few entrees to share and main meal. Restaurant was busy, the service was efficient and food was well presented and delicious. Would come back!

The restaurant is so popular, all reasons verified. My dietary requirements were very well looked after inspite of being so busy. The food is delicious and the staffs are extremely accommodating. Definitely coming back!

They went above and beyond to get us a table. They book out very fast so make sure you get in quick. I can understand why they book out so fast! It's because the food, the wine and the service is absolutely amazing! Koomo is a restaurant I have heard about and I'm so lucky my boyfriend and I got to experience it. Thankyou!!
