Knox Fish-N-Chips

We stopped by for a snack today and were absolutely impressed. The guy serving was very friendly and made us the best dim sims and potato cakes we have had in years. He knew to make the dim sims extra crispy because we asked for them to come with soy sauce and that does tend to soften them up again a little. They soaked in the perfect amount of sauce and still had the perfect amount of crunch left. Yummy! perfection

The fish and chips were ok. Grilled fish not really fresh- dried and tasteless. The beef burger I ordered was terrible. The beef patty was thin and dry and didn’t taste like beef. The calamari wasn’t even made of real squid. It was one of those frozen seafood sticks that tasted of squid. Really disappointing food overall.

Today we had the potato cakes that had been recommended and they lived up to what we had been told. Fresh, perfectly cooked with a thin, crispy batter. We will be back.

Absolutely the worst fish and chips I have ever spent money on. Tonight’s dinner consisted of a burnt hamburger with a meat pattie that was inedible. Probably wasn’t even real meat. Such a disappointing meal. Don’t know how they are even still in business! Do not waste money please! Go elsewhere..

Friendly guy at the counter... I just had some chips take away... Good portion, taste wise not amazing but good enough.

Best fish and chips in the Wantirna area. The owner is welcoming and friendly and the fish is always grilled just right. Burgers are really good too.
