Absolutely amazing take-away. I was really impressed - went there for the first time tonight and tried their spicy noodles and spring rolls. I love spicy food so I asked them to make it 'super hot' - as most places 'hot' is not hot enough for me. They definitely gave me what I wanted.. it was incredibly hot with plenty of chilli, but delicious and high quality. Very tasty. The spring rolls were great too. Strongly suggest trying some take-away from here. :)

If condiments were served as per authentic Thai cuisine, this place would have received a 5 star rating from me. In Thailand, padthai is served with a side of crushed peanuts, chilli flakes and lime wedge, here we only received a lime wedge. The padthai was amazing though, just that it had a sweet base so some chilli flakes would have given it a good balance.

Budget Thai cooking in a humble roadside restaurant. Food is decent n fairly priced but not the best I have tasted. Green curry, red curry, tom yam soup, pad thai, vegetarian spring rolls, etc. Place is small n old with limited seats but service is with a friendly smile every time. Special lunch set every Wednesday to Friday is at AUD 10 only. Worth coming again. Do I have a complaint? Well, could we have a choice of curry not based on coconut milk? A fresh coat of paint might help too. Food : 6/10 Prices: 7/10 Ambience: 3/10 Service: 6/10

I am a regular here for their lunch time deals. $10 For a Thai green curry really hits the spot without hurting the wallet.

Fantastic food, ever since my Thsi friend introduced me to Pad Thai and Basil Chili Chicken dishes Ixve struggled to find any restaurants that do it as well but Kala Thai was right on the money for both. Best Thai I've had in Hobart! 👌🏻

Great food. Pad Thai is just like I've had in Thailand the sweet chilli chicken is a favourite and the satay chicken sticks.
