Jamison Takeaway

This is our go to takeway! Great family owned takeaway store. Prices are reasonable, staff are always friendly and the food is fantastic! Never had a bad meal from here. Would recommend to anyone. 10/10. :)

Hands down one of my FAVE takeaways! The chips are always hot and perfectly cooked. The gravy is never powdery and always tastes good. The pizzas are classic, and the steak sandwiches literally drip juicyness and are to die for!! The staff are beautiful and the shop is always clean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Best chips I've had in Canberra so far. Went into this shop with zero expectations and was blown away. Great prices too. Can't go wrong! Will have to try the other food sometime too. Bet it's just as good!

Definitely best fish and chips in town. Everything cooked fresh so don't mind wait.

The new owner & staff (since Feb) & menu are freakin' awesome!! Fish & Chips cooked to perfection, wedges to die for, huge hamburgers with fresh filling and tasty patty, pizzas are super yummy too! The service is quick, polite & friendly. Such an improvement on the last owners & cooking. I'm only sad they're not open Mondays, but, hey, everyone needs a break.

This place must be under new management because I have heard less than complimentary comments about it. However my experience has been very satisfactory. I like the old style fish and chip shop with burgers and now pizzas and this place is relatively cheap (every thing is expensive to me these days) but very good value. The grilled fish is a small amount more than the other options but well worth it. The hamburger with the lot feeds two people or someone who is into a huge meal. Staff are friendly and willing to adjust orders. The place is clean and has booths for eating in. I recommend this local shop for locals.

I miss the old owner. But the new owners are still good! Their potato scallops are still delish and their crumbed fish. But I think y'all changed the cooking oil. Overall still a nice takeaway, went there all my life. By the way, the old owners of the takeaway shop have moved to Evatt takeaway. The old man (Jack) that ran the takeaway passed it down to his son but most of the workers are still there. But Jamison takeaway still nice.
