JAN CHI Korean Feast

A great little Korean fusion restaurant / bar. Went for lunch and had the lunch share option -5 dishes. More than enough food for us. The place is small & attracts a young / hipster clientele - however, the food had a sophistication that was over and above the surroundings . The fried chicken was delicately coated, not over-fried and great mix of sweet and savoury. The sweet sticky lamb was like a deconstructed Korean braised dish -찜, could have eaten 10 plates. The rest of the dishes were Korean fusion done right. Highly recommended.

Hello to my growing follower base, Tonight’s dinner was an absolute feast! Went with the 5 dish experience and I’ve never had such tasty meat varieties from chicken to duck. Dim lit vibe, only about 8 tables inside to give you that secluded experience. Also wonderful bar to add to the vibe. Thanks heaps!

Hi guys, We found this place as a Google recommendation and let me tell you the overlords know well! Highly recommended as I had a few really nice dishes here... Check out the pics for some stunning looking fusion plates, you can match the meals with the pics of the menu with my finger pointing to them. The lamb was outstanding, the Bao Bun is probably one of the best you can get in Melbourne but I personally didn't like the pork aftertaste. The KFC was ok similar to the other 2 dishes. The interior ambiance was really good as you can see from my pic and the staff were friendly. Portion size was a bit tiny or I was too hungry but after the 5 meal deal was over I did feel full. Again even thou you might get bigger, cheaper better KFC in other places this was an exceptionally good fusion with some really good dishes so make sure you visit, we will definitely go back for more later...

Amazing food! We ordered two evenings in a row because it was just that good. Tried the veg dumplings (crispy and perfect!), the kabocha bao and the sweet potato fries and my husband had the boneless half and half KFC and the brisket bao. SO GOOD! Both the chili sauce and the garlic soy are wonderful and I would recommend getting a few extras to dip everything in! Already looking forward to ordering again. (edit: after sitting on night out, we ordered again the next night!).

This is the BEST restaurant in Melbourne. Hands down. I’ve been 3x times now and the chefs never disappoint. I recommend to everyone!

This place deserves more hype! It had cool interiors and great vibes. The service was super quick and the food was sooo delicious! The soy garlic fried chicken was insane, best I’ve ever had. Also if you’re not drinking, the peach lemonade was really tasty and refreshing. We shared lots of dishes, had plenty of food and it worked out to be about $30 each. So reasonably priced for how good it was!

OMG - we eat out a lot locally, nationally and internationally- I am half way through and had to stop and write a review... the best Korean chicken (sweet soy garlic) and sticky lamb ribs I have ever had. Fries - not so good - but it’s a Korean restaurant!!! Well done! Well worth the price and well deserving of its five stars😋

Excellent attentive service with a good selection of dishes under the Feed Me menu. Great atmosphere and vibe, would definitely come back to taste more of the menu👍

Very tasty dishes however portions rather small for Australian expectations. Well worth a visit.. especially sticky chicken morsels are impressive..
