Went for the three course meal. For the entrees the cuttlefish was the best for sure, with the zucchini fries. Mains was steak and seafood pasta. The steak was seriously amazing. Didn’t really manage to make a dent in the dessert as was too full. Espresso martini was below average, tasted burnt and watery. The interior was stunning and the service was really good

Food was delicious, as was the wine we ordered. Staff were attentive and helpful. Recommend.

Went with my girlfriend on a quiet night, and I wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious and involved the tastiest mushrooms I've ever tried. The wait staff were amazing. I have some complicated dietary requirements and although they didn't have a lot on their (small) menu that I could eat, they treated it as a non-issue and immediately modified some recipes for me. The staff were unobtrusive but preempted our needs excellently, making for a really friction-less evening. I might've knocked a star off because of the unexciting restaurant interior, but the service was just too exceptional.

Quaint little Italian restaurant that offers friendly and warm service to complement the wonderful menu. Tony and crew love to ensure your experience is great. The menu is simple yet offers a variety of options from Antipasto to warm soups and well balanced mains. If you're looking for huge pizzas and chunky past dishes, this is not the place for you. Italian & sons offer sufficient sized meals that are delightful in flavour leaving you well satisfied and with enough rooms to savour the desert. Can be busy and worth the effort to get in.

Amazing food and very attentive and friendly service I've dined at Italian & Sons a few times now and I have been consistently impressed with the quality of the food. The service is also first rate. I recently took family from interstate to enjoy a meal out at Italian & Sons. The restaurant did Canberra proud, turning out some amazing modern Italian and the service was outstanding. Full marks from me!

Fantastic food and awesome atmosphere. A lot of reviews note the serving sizes are small which i agree with, so we ordered some bread and olives upfront, and left very satisfied. Great service. Steak and silverbeet main delicious. Tiramisu was one if the best have ever had. Looking forward to going back.

Simply put, this is overpriced, medium Italian fare. When you leave an Italian joint still hungry after spending $130 p/p there is something wrong. The service was okay... But all together it just... Wasn't there. Try harder, charge less.

I'm a bit surprised at some the reviews here - our meal was very good , and good value for the quality. The service was excellent, and we were fed in pretty quick time on a night when the restaurant was packed and rapidly turning over tables for late arrivals. There's only ever been a relatively limited range of meals on the menu here, and the $85 set price dinner is good value for any similar quality restaurant. One thing that's never changed here is the ethos - they don't do fancy share plates of spectacularly plated experimental food - just very well cooked Italian classics. The fish of the day was superb, but I thought the ragu could have done with something extra. The focaccia was excellent, as was the eggplant parmigiana and the cannoli. However the flourless chocolate cake turned out to be tiny sliver of a magnificent cake, hidden under a pile of unnecessary extras.

The restaurant was highly recommended and we had come from Sydney for our wedding anniversary and chosen this restaurant to dine at. We were eventually taken to our table at the back of the restaurant where we had a table positioned in the back corner next to an old sign and near an unused food preparation area. The food was O.K. and the young fellow who served us was good at his job. I’m sure that there are many great meals to be had at this restaurant, and perhaps it was a one off, but for such a special occasion we left feeling underwhelmed.

Had a great evening right from the start when we arrived early and the staff gave us a warm welcome at the front door. We then proceeded to be sat at a nice table and had our order taken by a very polite young man who explained the menu and advised me on a great bottle of wine. The best was to come a beautiful 3 course meal that was presented well and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend.
