5/103 Kempling Street 7310, Devonport
Good Chicken Tandoori and Garlic & Cheese Naan. A good Indian restaurant near the Spirit of Tasmania terminal.
Butter chicken tasted like it was cooked in tomato soup. Vegetable korma should renamed bean and cauliflower korma, basically no other vegies in it. Garlic naan was virtually inedible with the high intensity of garlic. All very disappointing, however, the samosas where possibly the best I've ever tasted.
Wow! Visiting from Sydney and this is a contender for the best Indian food weβve ever had. Ordered takeaway for a late dinner - we got samosas, garlic naan, roti, chicken biryani and lamb korma and everything was perfect. I would include photos but forgot to take any because we were too busy eating. Highly recommended!
Amazing food and never expected to have such a gem in Davenport. Last minute booking and they had kept the restaurant opened for us.
Itβs not a big place, but great North Indian food, family business, we ordered two curry dishes, just the best meat curry we ever tried. $20 for each, big portion for tourists to try, local takeaway would be a better option, recommend one curry dish for two people with one rice. Many rice and naan options. Would definitely visit again!
Quick delivery, food was wonderful, ordered a butter chicken, rice and two naan breads. Family is very happy. This place is definitely going to be a regular.
Love this place. Food is always delicious and fresh. Have enjoyed all the meat dishes I have tried. Samosas and Kashmiri Naan are always ordered! Service is great. You won't be disappointed.
Very nice food. Tandoori chicken is awesome and super spicy. Loved it. Must go place in Devonport
Very disappointed at the food we ordered today. I hope the owners & chef read this and take it as constructive feedback. Lets start with the mushroom masala . Seemed like raw mushrooms were thrown into canned tomatoes sauce. Garlic naan had raw garlic just thrown all over a plain naan. Lets not talk about the palak paneer.... I am assuming there is shortage of palak (spinach) in Tasmania, because I definitely didn't taste or see any in the one we ordered. Never had this watery palak paneer before. The one thing that tasted decent was the masala kulcha, so thanks for that. Looking at the feedback below, I am assuming this was a decent restaurant once, so I am hoping it will improve in the future. All the best.
Good food and good service as well. Definitely should give it try.. kids loved it.
