I was a bit confused why there was side dishes

If you really want to know what Korean food tastes like, that's the place in Wollongong! The portions could however be slightly more generous...

Quite disappointing. Some dishes we ordered were not prepared by the restaurant. The ginseng chicken soup for example, was definitely the same instant ginseng chicken soup that I buy from the Korean grocery store in Fairy Meadow, just heated up with some spring onions thrown into it and charged double the price. Dumplings also were from a packet. It's not unusual for a restaurant to take these shortcuts but if you are after real cooked Korean food, there are better options in town now.

We had tried their sweet garlic soy sauce deep-fried chicken, it was delicious 😋 And the flavor of prawn fried rice and spicy tofu soup are good as well, will come back again.

100% best Korean BBQ around, lovely family team running the place. Highly recommend. See you guys Monday 👏👏

This place is amazing the food was haven the staff and the owner was so friendly I 100% recommend this place for amazing Korean food I gotta say sometimes the restaurant are empty but it depends on the day of the week I love a restaurant who doesn’t play music so quite and easy to hear your friends talking the thing you need to be to know is they don’t split the bill so make sure before you go there no split bills ؛)

BBQ Packet D (marinated chicken, pork and beef) is the best choice for the BBQ. Serves for 2ppl. If you eat a lot, need more add extra orders. I’ve been there several times and definitely will come back

I have been coming here regularly for the past few years and have always been extremely happy with my experience at Illnara. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Whenever I try a new dish, they always explain to me what it is meant to be like. Their hot pots, especially the dak-galbi, are some of the best dishes in their menu.
