Loved this place! The staff were super friendly - from walking in the door greeted by Blake then we sat down for the cheese tasting and our server was equally as lovely. Cheese was delicious. Went home with lots of cheese and other little yummy finds. Will definitely go back.
Disappointed would be an understatement. I came into the cheese company with high expectations derived from an advertisement i had seen that entailed and engaging, connected experience to navigate a variety of cheeses that the Hunter Valley has to offer. In this advertisement a beautiful, extensive range of cheeses were photographed and it couldn't be further from the truth. For $14.95 per person, we received a rather small platters of cheeses, crackers and olives. The portion was rather disappointing but nothing in contrast to the service and the lack of it. When out cheeses were brought to our table, our "host" mumbled away the names of the cheeses on our plate and rushed away. There was nothing engaging or interesting about the experience- if I wanted an antipasto board I could do that myself. Its the Information that drew us to the location. By the end, we weren't sure of what the cheeses were and walked out empty handed with a mindset of overwhelming disappointment. The 2 stars is made up purely of the cheese, despite having to guess what they were, they were all lovely with beautifully developed flavours that melt in your mouth.
Place has a 90s vibe, quite old fashioned and clean. Platters are decent and cheap. Staff knows the job and can tell a lot about cheese. I found their cheeses overpriced for their quality, but I am picky when it comes to cheeses. Nice experience.
Nice and yummy different cheese types. We really loved it. Great customer service, the ladies super helpful. Here a pic of the goodies we get. We asked for delivery and they’re keen to post what they sell, that’s was amazing to know. Nice and cosy shop, full of yummy goodies. For $7.95 super recommended to go to the Cheese Compamy, you can find ticket on TripAdvisor.
We LOVED our experience today! Blake was so welcoming and so knowledgeable! Cheese tasting was Great and well explained! A great experience for the teens too! Nice atmosphere and some great options to purchase! Stockers up on delish hunter valley cheese! 100% recommend!
We enjoyed a tasting with matching wines. Dave, the cheese maker, gave us a detailed description about the 5 different cheeses. Highly recommended.
Beautiful cheeses! Staff very great. We thoroughly enjoyed our cheese board for lunch.
The cheese was great and the shop smelt fantastic. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly
Very disappointing! Do not expect what's been advertised. We bought 2 of the $15 serve so we paid $30 and the whole tray for 2 had: (literally 1 cubic cm) of cheese on one cracker (5 types), 5 olives, 4 (quarter slice sized) ordinary bread. No factory, no scenery, empty shelves and table for that matter.. I was embarrassed on behalf of the lady who served us, holding an extremely lacking tray. I was also angry to have wasted my family's time and excitement on this so called factory. Very misleading! Maybe the good reviews are from friends as we saw none of it! I'm all for supporting our locals, but this is deception. Nothing more than a corner shop!
Cheese was ok but for $14.95 I expected to have a little more than five little pieces of cheese on crackers with two tiny pieces of bread and a spoonful of chutney and quince... It was supposed to be fun and educational and it was just that... few overpriced morsels
