Hunky Dory Fish & Chips Byron Bay

Random but good fish and chips find while in Byron Bay; glad to have stumbled across one of the few Hunky Dory branches outside of Victoria. We had: * The Bay (fried pack), $15 - fillet of fish (hake or flake), 2 calamari rings, potato cake, chips, lemon & tartare * Snapper, $12.50 - we had this battered This was a late lunch following a morning on the beach, and the food was eagerly devoured. Pretty happy with what we got - the fish was nicely fried with good crunch on the batter, and the chips were quite moreish with the chicken salt. Would be happy to return again.

It was wonderful ❤ It was worth to get delicious food in byron bay. So crispy and nice sauce to dip in. My husband loved the calamari . We couldn't finish the chips so the owner gave us box to take away. I loved all I ordered 😍

Owner is a mad dude! Were on our honeymoon and Tory gave us amazing service, told us about the town and what's going on and then gave us "wedding cakes" each on the house! Beautiful food, big portions, amazing chips. KILLER place :) 5/5 easy

Amazing amazing! Super crispy and well seasoned fish. Very cute place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Pet friendly. Would recommend all the things we ordered - they were so good!

Not just a fish & chip shop, but a great, clean, well-lit seafood restaurant! Quality seafood and generous serving sizes. Really tasty fish, and fresh salads. Indoor dining, along with tables for 2 alfresco. Their plant-based fishless fish menu is quite popular of that way inclined. Always friendly and efficient staff.

Menu has a tonne of variety, the dishes all look great. The standard fish and chips is also super yum. Highly recommended.

They were certainly busy and you can see why. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Service was very good.

Came from Sydney to Byron Bay and wanted to try out a nice fish and chips shop. Got the Grilled Seafood Salad and the Bay fried Pack. The fish on the salas was so tasty and tender. Everything tasted delicious and not soggy or oily. The servings were great for the value we paid for a dish per person. Just don't order too late, because they'll only do takeaway half an hour before closing time. Highly recommend this place!
