Barkly Street, Footscray 3000, Melbourne
All the food we had were so good. Combination beef pho, spring rolls, chicken rice. Avocado smoothie. Everything is fresh and delicious. Although all the staff were not friendly, it’s understandable as the service was quite quick in a very crowded place, tables turnaround were very high. Perhaps they can improve on their service, then the restaurant would be perfect. We will definitely come back again for the food.
Easy five star review. Best chicken pho I had in ages. Chef did a pretty good job, cooked that meal to perfection!
Best pho I’ve ever had, broth is so savoury. Raw beef is just the right tenderness, sliced beef tripe is chewy, and the black pepper beef ball is very special with the heat of black pepper. Will visit again for sure.
Busy place and visited slightly late. I had the small pho of beef and chicken combination with offal. Offal here seemed to be just chicken liver and gizzard. Portion was generous. Soup was flavourful with some depth. The chilli oil on the table was pretty spicy but it'll elevate the noodles. The pickled carrots on the broken rice was really good. Pity the grilled pork were a tad too lean.
Ok you win as the best chicken pho I had since forever. The spring rolls (prawn) was also pretty darn good, especially wrapped in the iceberg lettuce. Service is quick, efficient and friendly so definitely a thumbs up for that! The grilled chicken rice was flavourful and satisfying too.
always good. been going here a long time and totally worth the drive. best pho in Melbourne. also love the lady with the short hair that does the hosting. always attentive and get the table for us very fast. staff is all nice too. Pls come !!!
Best pho in Melbourne bar none and the atmosphere feels like Ho Chi Min too. Super busy and you have to be in and out pretty quick but the food is phenomenal and cheap. Pork spring rolls are a must, Vietnamese iced coffee and some spicy soup is the perfect lunch after a big Saturday night
What great food. Flavourful grilled pork and pho broth was delicious. Hits the right note. I love how the basil and bean sprouts were served separately in a sharing plate for the whole table. The addition of those into our own soup made it so homely and the flavours were made even more robust. Portions were generous, too! Price wise it’s pretty standard aussie pricing!! $31 for 2 pax. Location wise; central footscray location and nnot too far a walk from the bus stop. Easy to find! Vibe: lovely decor and homely setting! Lots of Vietnamese shops around. Staff were really friendly and helpful with takeouts and our requests. There’s also lemongrass tea for the table. Overall a great authentic experience!
Ordered 2 small pho (1 chicken, 1 beef). For $14, it’s quite a big portion, don’t think I could of finished a medium. Noodles were top notch fresh & translucent in texture, loved every bite. The chicken pho had a strong chicken broth flavour, was superb. The beef pho was a big stronger in possibly msg but still very nice. I would recommend not to order soy milk, which I thought would be home made but came in a bottle. Intensely sugary and worse part, palm oil is listed as an ingredient which I don’t understand, why oil is needed for a beverage! Free hot tea is provided on the table with paper cups. Can order ice for 50c. Bonus: clean toilets
Keep coming back for - egg noodles and grilled chicken option. Spicy chilli oil. Flavorful soup base. Quick service, consistent food. Great place overall!
