Hellyers Road Distillery in Burnie - Questions and answers

My husband and I will be visiting Tasmania in July and would like to visit your distillery for a tour/tasting if possible.I think we would be able to come on the 10th (pm) or the 11th (am). Would we need to book for those times? Thank-you, Sandra.

Hi Howard. No, we are not open Sunday. We reopen on Tuesday the 29th December.

Tour and tasting fee, no door fee.

Are you open for tours xmas eve?

You would have to ring the distillery themselves to find out the days they are open over Christmas

hi years ago we got a few bottles. some were special and others not. some we sealed. i have forgotten which is which! i have a cask number 2283 bottle 202 that we sealed. is that a normal one? hope you can help

If you remembered sealing it yourself that happened on the tour, and it's a higher strength. It will be good. However, Maree, if you are at all in doubt send them to me and I'll let you know 😉😁

Can I order a replacement shot glass for cracked glass I purchased when I visited the distillery along with a bottle of whisky to be posted to England

They do have a facility to order on line, perhaps an email to them asking your enquiry

Do hellyers road ship to Victoria?

Have a look on their website, but I believe they sell Hellyers at Dan Murphy's around the country

I think they would be being a tourist attraction

Where are the barrels you use from?

The original batch's were aged in Jack Daniels cask. They also use wine casks. They distill a wonderful whiskey.
