Lovely views, spacious and modern looking. Clean. Friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor dining. My steak lunch meal was perfect esp mushroom sauce, my friend asked me to post that her calamari was not crispy but soggy maybe undercooked. I def recommend this place, has a nice feel to it 😊

Enjoyed the food, service and ambiance at Fiction. The duck spring rolls and nasi goreng were great, and the butchers sausage were good, too, though the gravy a bit on the sweeter side. Overall nice dinner and great setting by the water.

It looked better than it tasted. Carrot cake was a bit on the dry side and the frosting tasted more like mock cream than cream cheese frosting. The jetty and water view was appealing. Cafe service was good and friendly. Thanks for being open on a public holiday.

Great location and atmosphere, food delious i had the spring chicken. Rest of the table all loved their meals. Mark our waiter awesome and rest of staff friendly and helpful.

Food is great, drinks are very good (even if the don't have any decent tonic!) Nicely located on the water at Raby bay, this indoor and outdoor venue provides a great atmosphere to enjoy a meal with family or friends. What really make this place worth a visit is the staff. Nathan and Ryan in particular were amazing hosts and made the night a very enjoyable one indeed.

Hubby and I had a casual lunch at Fiction a few months ago. Service, food and location were wonderful. Just moved to the area so added it to our new favourites. Sadly, last month my brother passed away and I needed a space to celebrate his life. I spoke to James and we arranged for an indoor area for memories, tears, celebration and food. It was just perfect. Staff were so lovely and helpful. We were away from other diners and could be comfortable. Today we went back for lunch. Again, great atmosphere, service, drinks and food. Love Fiction. Such a great place to be.

Came for dinner, ordered entrees to share as wasn’t craving a big meal. Food was delicious and well presented. Was greeted and served by Sophie. Sophie’s customer service skills are outstanding, Sophie went above and beyond to check with the chef on questions we had and explained the menu well. Sophie is a true asset to the Fiction team and we will be back soon. Thank you team for making it a great experience and night.

Fiction bar is a nice place to eat at with reasonable prices. A lot of young staff and probably still learning. With a place like that you need an experienced floor manager to organise the staff. The food was presented very well, and taste was great. The scenic outlook over the bay and marina is beautiful. For a couple, expect to pay around the $100-$135 for a starter, two mains, and a couple of drinks. It is a pretty reasonable restaurant to eat at with an atmosphere.

This place has a great location but pretty average menu at the moment (Jan 2023). The service from the staff is top notch and they are friendly / attentive. The menu needs work, it’s a mix of tapas, Asian street food and then some modern mixes so doesn’t really follow a theme. Our table had pepper beef, duck l’orange and Thai noodle… so there is Chinese, French, and Thai on the menu as an example. All of the food was rather bland so a new menu and switch up to a single theme for flavours may make it easier for the kitchen to operate / keep to a smaller core set of ingredients.
