56 Stirling Terrace, Albany
Food wise this is really a five stars place. The croissants were baked on the spot and came out fresh, soft and flakey. Add the butter and jam and you really don't need much more. Same for the baguette that came fresh out of the oven. Note to other visitors: it seems that everything is made for the day and comes out as fresh as possible, this means that when food runs out the place will close early.
Lovely food and great ambience. Feels like you are in a cafe in Europe. Great presentation of food as well, the way coffee is served in Europe and also the pastries were flaky and buttery. So good! Visited there twice in a week, will definitely visit it on our next trip to Albany.
Today I visited this store for the first time. Absolutely adorable. But the blueberry tart that I purchased was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Which is saying a lot! The short buttery pastry was so perfect and the filling sublime. I savoured every mouthful.
Have eaten 3 times in a great breakfast shop, the food is very beautiful and delicious, the business is very good, not many seats, it is recommended to arrive earlier.
Beautiful character cafe, very friendly and welcoming, busy and bustling, good quality food, excellent atmosphere. Thought the food range could have been better.
Great authentic food & welcoming staff!
Yummo nice coffee and cake.
Eating at Gourmandise & Co Albany is like trip to France highly recommend to anyone we will be back again and the Pumpkin and ricotta cheese cake was amazing thank you
Nice cosy intimate patisserie with lots of delectable goodies on offer. We tried some cakes, chocolate croissants, escargot etc and they were all super. Only blemish was their coffee which was bitter and thin.
Lovely place, friendly staff und good food. What more do you want! We certainly will be back.
